My trail run ...
Hi everyone!
I had my 5K trail "challenge" today. My gosh, that is by far the most difficult thing I have ever done in my entire life! It started off great but then we came to this hill and it was the mother of all hills. It had fallen trees, branches, roots, etc. that you had to climb over ... there was no running up this hill, you had to walk because it was sooooo steep! So that completely wore me out for the rest of the run and I felt like that was way more than 3.10 miles on that route! I was dying from thirst because they had no aid stations along the way. I was a wreck by the time I crossed the finish line! But, I finished in 38 minutes exactly and the best news is ....
I won a ribbon! I came in 3rd place in the women's age 35-40 division! I got a freaking ribbon! Now, granted, there weren't all that many participants but I still qualified for a ribbon! Holy guacamole!!!
Anyway, my knees and butt are beyond sore right now and I feel like I'm gonna puke but I still have a big ole grin on my face!

I know you are proud.. now rest your butt and legs.. I'm sure there are more races out there for you to get ready and win in... congrats my friend.. you rock
WOOHOOOO the rest of us knew you could do it, i'm so proud of you....bit odd about no water stations but live and learn for next time i guess. Go take yourself a hot bath and relax today or go work out and give those muscles some room to heal. Make sure you take in a ton of protein today that's what is going to rebuild your muscles. ANDI
