I couldn't agree with you more about how people worry, whine and eat too much. As a nurse the food I see is incredible! My co-workers eat entirely too much and most have weight problems. I just went on a cruise in February and couldn't believe the amount of food people were eating! It was incredible! I was soooo happy on the cruise because they brought a nice sized portion for dinner each night, some I was able to eat more of than others (that seems to be the way things go for me) but I felt as though I could keep up with the people at my table and make a decent dent in the plate, it was refreshing. I couldn't help but think that a year ago, I would have been eating everything in sight and feeling like crap afterwards. Congratulations on your accomplishments over the past year, I know everyone has worked hard for it. Amy

It just amazes me the volume of food that a restaurant, enough for three people, puts on a plate. course tonight I put a serious dent into a microwave bag of popcorn. I shocked myself.

It is amazing how little we actually need, or how quickly the calories count up in portions. I now know why all my other diets didn't work - I did not realise just how little I should be eating!!

the same with me. I never in a million years would have thought that I would survive off of 225 a day, and I never would have imagined that at 1500 a day now that I would be maintaining.

I had the appointment a week ago, all my labs were 'textbook perfect' and he will see me in 6 months. *poof* he is nice and verbal, has a a lot information to give at his meeting, most of it was 'memorized' and so it was difficult to get a word in edgewise. 98% of what he said was 'duh' we already know this. he promotes 4 small meals a day as opposed to three that the old one promotes. he promotes eating anything and everything in small portions to prevent 'rebellion from denial' which the other surgeon totally was against, but that I had adopted anyways. I have discovered my own way through this process that has left me very successful. --|-------------------------------------------|-------------------------------------|-- wongsa------------------------------------me-------------------------------StLaurent 3 meals / 0 snacks ----------------3 meals / 1 snack ---------------- 3 meals 2 snacks 80%Protein ------------------------- 30% Protein -----------------------40% Protein 10%Carb ------------------------------ 30% Carb ----------------------- 30% Carb 10% Fat ------------------------------ 40% Fat ------------------------- 30% Fat I think that he is easy to work with and we will get along fine. ;)
