Closing the door on the 1 year surgiversaries
Well, I'm the last one, then we are all done until our 2nd year surgiversaries. I'd like to say I'm so glad I had WLS in May and not 1st June or anything. That was the perfect date for me, as it meant I could be a part of our on line community. You guys have given me the support that I have needed so much, not having any contact with anyone else involved with WLS - even my surgeon! All your words have been appreciated. Here's to another great year of loosing or maintaining, whichever stage we are at cheers I hope we keep all the friends we have now, and that we gain some on the next part of our journey here in our May 06 community.
Here are my stats of which I am proud!!
May 31st 2006
266 pounds - BMI 42.9 - 112 pounds away from normal BMI
May 31st 2007
175 pounds - BMI 28.2 - 21 pounds away from normal BMI ----------WOOHOOO
Thanks Deanna
Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would EVER weigh 175!! It is great isn't it.
Ha ha...you are such an inspiration to me too Deanna. When I think of how you've gone from not doing any exercise and in trepidation of it, to all that you do now. Do you remember your initial posts of trying out spin class, etc. Wow to think that far back. What a difference!
I still want to run...you do all that I wish I would do. I just need to get on and do it. I'll get there one day, and then I'll be racing right along with you.
congratulation ruth. You have done a great job. I am so glad to call you my friend and appreciate that you as well as the other may babies have been here throughout to share their journeys. You my friend... have touched many hearts with your wisdom, kindness, inspirations and honesty. For that I love you. We will remain friends and continue on this journey til the end sharing and caring for each other with that special little something we all share.. YOU ROCK RUTH... now go out and celebrate you one year re-birth..
