With summer just around the corner it's time to ask.. what is your favorite outdoor sport or activity you like to participate in?
I love cycling and want to ride my bike to and from the beach this year. It's about 100 miles round trip.
I love anything to do with the outdoors. i spend most of my time near water... sking, suntanning, camping. This year we are gonna go white water rafting for our vacation. I would have never of tried that a year ago.. but I am totally game now. This should be a great summer.. I plan to do that as well as learn to wake board. whoo hoo.. watch out.. here I come.
Oh and I am thinking of joining a softball league. been a long time since I played but I was pretty good at it back than and they say its like riding a bike.. you never forget how.
' We go camping allot in the summer, not too far from my house..I love to go swimming, live by the lake, haven't swam in it for years, though, may try to this year! I also live in a tourist town,so everything is so crowded around here in the summer!
I have grandkids all summer, the youngest 16 months,so its kind of hard doing things with little ones!
I can't wait for summer! For the first time ever, I am looking forward to being warm!!!
We are going to Vegas in June. Sometime over the summer we're going with my inlaws to a lake and we'll go horseback riding. Hurray! Also planning on going to the coast, hiking, etc. I have several 5K runs planned and I'm also participating in my Surgeon's office sponsored relay walk to the coast. I'm just looking forward to being really active this summer!

We'll be staying put this year. Thats fine though as I lvoe being out in the garden, pottering about, and generally being lazy...oops did I say that out loud amoungst all you terribly active sporty people...hee hee.
Well there you have it, I sit and think and dream and listen to the birds and watch the clouds, and enjoy the peacefulness of it all.
We have a pool in the backyard and most probably will spend most of the time there. I was hoping to get a bike and start riding. So maybe that will be a goal to work towards. My sister has a bike she never uses and I was hoping she would either sell me the bike or give it to me. We will be in Las Vegas/Grand Canyon at the end of July into the beginning of August. This is the first trip I am making without my two older boys which should be nice. Not that I don't like them coming, just that I would like to spend time with the younger two. We got awesome airfare and a rate of 89 dollars a night at the MGM grand, then for the last two nights we will stay in the Flagstaff area. If anyone has any suggestions as to where to stay in the Grand Canyon area, let me know as I haven't booked anything yet. While out there I plan to go riding on a quad with my boys, something I wouldn't have done a year ago! Hopefully, we can do some hiking as well, if it isn't too hot. That is a big difference for me as I am looking for more active things to do this time around.

i just LOVE summer, it's so much more laid back then anything else! My youngest and oldest are going away to sleep away camp, the middle kid wants to stay home with us (oh the joy in THAT) so he'll go to day camp. I'll be starting my new job so that will take up alot of my time and i plan on going to the gym regularly! Hugs, ANDI
We have a pool and live 5 min from the beach and on the Gulf of Mexico and will spend the summer swimming and kayaking. I hoping to get another sail for mine as last time a big wind tipped me over (scary) and I lost it in the gulf. We are going to this place called Jakes in Jamaica in July for snorkeling and more swimming... ( Ok I love the water). Then are going to NC to look at property for our new house and Alberta Canada in August (DH business meeting and play time for us)... we have passes to Bush Gardens parks so I'm sure my son will want to go a few times with his friends...
I hope to get up the nerve to get plastic's done in Aug/ Sept...LOL we shall see
