My Turn

As I lay in bed last night I couldn't believe how much different I felt going to sleep than I did one year ago. Last year I was fat and miserable and scared to death. I could find very little to like about myself. I honestly can not believe it has been 1 year since that day that changed my life so drastically. My relationship with food changed soooo dramatically that I was terrified. Anytime I was happy, sad, excited, depresed I ate and lots of it. The first couple of months after surgery I had NO desire to eat whatesover. Months 3-8 I ate when I knew I needed to. Then about month 9 BAM!! my appetite was back and in full force along with some of those horrible cravings and negative eating habits. I do make much healthier eating choices now as almost 2nd nature. I can't imagine eating the types or quantities of food I ate just 1 year ago. This surgery has been the best thing I've ever done for myself. Today I am 124 pounds lighter, I have much more self confidence and smile alot more. I actually have a very nice handsome man showing interest in me (one of the hardest things for me to believe). Life is good! Thanks so much to this board for giving me support and encouragement throughout this wonderful journey! Mandy Page 332/208/155

Mandy, you brought tears to my eyes! I sooooooo feel the same way you do ... I could have written exactly what you wrote, especially about the cravings returning. I'm so proud of you girl! And how exciting to have a handsome man paying some attention to you ... you bat your eyelashes at him and smile that gorgeous smile and you'll have him wrapped around your little finger! You are so beautiful, Mandy. And you've accomplished so much this year! Be proud of yourself!!! Deanna

Congratulations Mandy! You summed it all up in your words for me too - comparing this time last year to now. Wow what a turn around year it's been. It's been great getting to know you and having you as an on-line friend You strut your stuff with this guy, and don't settle for second best - only the best is good enough for you.

FYI i have found over the years that men are intrigued when you wiggle your butt, so do a lot of butt wiggling. If you are cleaning or making dinner, writing on the black board... swish your tush like you are dancing to a beat in your head.....makes 'em think of bedroom activity even if they aren't getting any! Hugs, ANDI ps. this in no way means that i'm a man'getting but give it a shot what do you have to lose?
