Almost lost half of my orginal inches Current clothes size: 2/4 shirts Medium Doctors goal weight: 150 How far off from that goal: past that goal by 19 pounds Your goal weight: 135 How far off from that goal: past that goal too by 4 pounds Medical problems a year ago: Reflux, swollen ankles, diabetes, PCOS, Psoriatic arthristis (acute phase), psoriasis (acute phase), restless leg syndrome, sleep apnea, depression, obesity Medial problems now: Psoriatic arthritsis (stable), psoriasis (cleared up), sleep apnea (much better), depression, ocd. Goals you wanted to accomplish before surgery: To feel better.. I was so sick all the time I did nothing at all but sit in a chair. To get healthy, to loose weight and be able to get around again, to get my life back, to get to 150 pounds and idealistically to idealisitically 135 pounds (never thought I could reach 135). Goals you have accomplished so far since surgery: I have accomplished all my goals from before surgery. Current goals you want to accomplish: to reach 125 (can you believe that). To ride my bike to the beach and back (50 mile trip). To go wake boarding and knee boarding this summer. To run 3 miles on a treadmill. To buy some nice dress clothes for work. To have a spa day (doing that on friday). To live a long and happy, healthy thin life. Out look on life at time of surgery: I thought I was gonna die.. I was just so sick all the time and didnt really care if I lived or died. Out look on life now: life is great. I want to see the world, participate in the world and be around for a long time to enjoy the new life I have. General comment about what and how you feel now as appose to than: this surgery saved my life cause truthfully I didnt feel I had a life a year ago. My life was riddled with pain, sickness, a failing realationship, kids I couldnt take care of and I was captured in my home via my non desire to participate in life. I had no life and was going no where but done. life is mine again to take control of, enjoy, participate in and to savor every minute of.. I wanna live and enjoy it all.

Firm and tone up and have more energy(just as low as before surgery). Out look on life at time of surgery:I was excited and determined that I made a choice and took charge of my health. I wasn't worried, just determined to follow the rules and make it happen. Out look on life now:I am happy each day that I am thinner, but doing a lot of work in therapy to undo the emotional scars of being fat and drudging that up each week is difficult. It's not all roses, but I am hopeful for the next year. I didn't think I would be thin, healthy and stable in one year's time. General comment about what and how you feel now as appose to then: Thinner, lighter...that's about it.

I do things I never thought I'd do and I try not to worry about what people think of me. And I know I'm healthy and that makes me happy knowing I'll have lots of time with my children! And I smile all the time!
