My Mother's Day Wish
Just For Today I Wish You:
* A day filled with positive energy
* laughter and a few happy tears
* a day of easy eating
* a day to work out or not depending on how YOU feel
* a day filled with what your heart desires
* a gift from a childs heart
* don't care what the scale says today, it has no power over you
That is just the tip of the iceburg on what i wish for my May'Bies, hugs, ANDI
Thanks, Andi. I have been doing okay.. I'm a snail, now, and have been for the last few months. I've managed to take off 6 lbs in 2 1/2 to 3 months. I'm an elusive 17 lbs from a normal BMI. But I feel fantastic! And it's quite exciting to fit into size 12s.
It's amazing how life has changed. I think I'm finally emotionally strong enough to make a trip home. I've booked travel for my family and we will be heading back to my home town in 4 weeks. I have not seen my sisters in 6 years (when my mom passed away). We have very complicated relationships (which I'm learning is not as uncommon as I once thought it was) and I'm ready to confront these demons and put them to bed, once and for all.
Now on a good note, I've been having the best Mother's Day ever. My husband has a migraine so he went back to bed, so I am up alone with my almost 4 year old son. At one point, he asked me to come sit with him to watch cartoons. So I stopped what I was doing, and sat with him. He cuddled up on my lap and I got to cup his head with my head and shoulder. We sat there quietly for a bit, all while I was just soaking up every ounce of his scent..how his hair felt against my face. And then he started tickling my feet and laughing. So we enjoyed a nice game of feet tickle. I am so thankful he came into out lives and for all the silliness he brings
Diane
Diane, before you go home would you read a book i'm going to recommend? It's called The Four Agreements, by Don Miguel Ruiz I don't believe in the religioius aspect of the book but i do believe in the knowledge it imparts. That book has truly helped me with some very complex relationships in my life! It will empower you to do what's right for you and not just go with what others are doing it will help you stand up for yourself when you think there's nothing left of your spirit, it's a powerful book! Hugs, ANDI
Right back at you my friend.. Happy mothers day all of you..
My children made me the most amazing gift this year. they took my youngest old pants and turned it into a purse for me.. The thought and work they put into it touched me so deep. I love my kids who are now planning to make my lunch and dinner for the day. Life is so good..
I wish you all the best on mothers day and all year round..
Luv Carla
