Lately I have been hungrier than usual, but I have ignored it because I;m afraid to increase my calories, 600 - 800 a day is my norm. Can I get a little feedback from yall re: this situation ? Have a graet day ! Heather

Hi Heather I read an article which I pasted in a post a while back about hunger. It was detailed, but basically it said that we dont' feel hungry due to lack of quantity of food. We feel hungry because the body has a nutricianal deficite (sp). So if you are feeling hungry, rather than just upping your intake of what you are already eating, try thinking about what your body might be lacking and making sure you up that instead. That way you can stay at the same calories but just vary your diet by eating different things. Hope that makes sense. If not I'll try to find the old post and re-post it for ya.

IMO: FWIW: the more carbs I eat, the hungrier I get. the more protein I eat, the longer I stay satisfied. Kat (Klein, Texas) (275/145) (2 lbs up from last week, 5 lb below goal)

Heather at a year out you should be at about 1000 calories or more a day depending on your exercise level. You are very low and my be putting yourself in starvation mode. I did the same thing and didnt loose for a while.. when I took my calories up to 1000 i gained a couple at first than dropped 12 over a two month period. it was better to go up the calories.. you need to start doing that anyway as you get closer to your goal.. I am suppose to eat more than I do, but it's hard for me to do.. i do try.. you need to increase the amount your eating and see if it helps.. you should still loose weight.. but your body will need to make the adjustment to the calorie increase at first.
