Wow moments
Yesterday we went to London. I used to really enjoy days in London, then I got fatter and they became an endurance so I stopped going. I would get exhausted from all the walking and up and down stairs on the underground. i would get over hot and end up with a horrible migraine.
However, hubbie wanted to go to London for the day for his birthday outing and take a trip on the London Eye - the highest observation ride in the world (like a large ferris wheel with enclosed 'pods' to ride in).
So down we went and I had an amazing day! I REALLY enjoyed myself and did loads of walking and didn't have any of the exhaustion or other problems that I used to have. It was incredible and so enjoyable.
Now, the second major wow of the day was when I tried on hubbies jacket. I almost didn't put it on as I 'knew' it would be too small but was very cold and needed to warm up. So I put it on and WOW it fit My skinny hubbies jacket actually fit me, and I could do it up!!! I nearly danced a jig and screamed and hollered my head off like a crazy women right there and then, but managed to restrain myself as we were in an up market guitar shop where hubbie was trying out (expensive) guitars.
Life is good
How very kewl!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just got back from the OH conference in Orlando and after meeting so many people realized just how amazing our group really is. I thought about you and how down you can get sometimes about being a "slow" loser... but not just this event but so far everything you have achieved has been amazing. ... You are ahead of many... you are one heck of a butterfly that has a whole new life...
PS: my shop is doing good, we are at a slow season for a few weeks ... but I love it. I am hoping to be on line in the next few mths.
The event was fun, but they canceled the modeling due to problems with the store sponsoring it. I did get to meat the CEO, athletic guy, Amy Williams and many others. They talk with the plastic surgeon was very helpful for me. The best part was comparing the room to all of us and by comparison... we are amazing!!!!!!!!!!
Wow Ruth, what a difference a year makes! It is so great that you got to enjoy London with your husband. I thnk I saw the London Eye once on the Amazing Race!! That looks like such an adventure. Then you were able to even zip his jacket. I think you should have done a little quiet dance right then & there!!
I am so glad to hear you are feeling good!! You look beautiful!
Hugs,
Darlene
