Hi everybody! I just found a cool website, if you are interested in getting started with running. It's www.coolrunning.com ... they have a "couch to 5K" type of program you can follow that will get you training to run a 5K. I haven't had a chance to read everything on there but it looks pretty neat. Worth checking out if you want to try running! I highly recommend running. It is something I used to always dream I could do but never ever was able to. Now I find that I get that "runners high" after I'm done and I LOVE IT! I cannot even believe I can run! It's an amazing feeling! Deanna

I do...I do...like you I have always wanted to run but could never do so. It's not like I really want to be a runner at this point but I feel like it would be such an acomplishment to be able to do so...I even began training earlier to run a 5K but got off track...I am gonna check it out and DO IT! Thanks for the info. Trish

A little secret I never shared.. I used to be a runner.. I ran in school and was ranked pretty high on the team.. won a few events even.. I use to run with my dog all the time.. I havent since I hurt my knee and my knee is my biggest fear.. I keep thinking if i can just strenghten the muscles around my knee maybe I can run again.. I know they are getting stronger.. I dont limp nearly as bad as I used to and sometime I think I dont limp at all anymore.. I know I can even get on my knee now and get up with out needing help.. Thats why I've been talking lately about trying the treadmill again. hmm.. I am still looking at it wondering if I should try... I will get there deanna.. i feel a run coming on real soon..

It's now on my favourites - thanks Deanna. Yes, I'm one of those too who has always dreamed of being able to run. I did go out a couple of times, but haven't kept it up. Now the lovely weather is here I keep planning to do it........ Yes I know, planning doesn't count - I have to actually get off my butt and start hee hee.

Hey Dee, I have begun something of a "wog" which is more my speed i think. I walk on the treadmill then i jog for a whole song, go back to walking then back to jogging, hence the reason i call it wogging (walk jogging) but i'm not sure i could do the whole running thing unless i was being chased!
