First post-op salad
I have been so afraid of raw veggies since surgery. But, I just crave a dang salad!! We went to dinner last night and the only thing that looked good was the salad bar. So i had it. They had pepperoni on it and cheese for protein. Oh it was so good. I could only eat half of the salad I took, but it was great to have one again. I don't know why I waited so long. fear I guess.
Nummalicious!

Salads had actually become my new best friend. I would have one everyday for lunch with a little turkey and cheese on it. Then all of a sudden one day huge pain in my stomach, of all things it was a gallbladder attack. I could eat a greasy meal and it does nothing but the lettuce gets me everytime. Looking forward to loosing the gallbladder so i can get back to my salads.

Wow, that's totally messed up. Sometimes I really think that there is no rhyme or reason to the gallbladder thing. I have read a bunch of research since having mine out at five months post-op that says the symptoms we get may not be gallbladder related at all, but they take it out anyway and you can go on having those symptoms after having it removed. FUN!
I see you are in Michigan. I was just there last weekend. My husband has family that we visit there. They live in a small rural town called Burr Oak outside of Sturgis. We like it there. It's a very pretty area. I'd like to live in Michigan one day.

you won't get to go back to the greasy foods after the gallbladder goes bye bye. For the first 6-8 months after your gallbladder surgery anything even remotely greasy will run through you as if it had track shoes on! I didn't figure that out for a LONG time after my surgery and I had some serious close calls! Please trust me on this one, ok learn from my stupidity. ANDI
