5K race results ...

Well everyone! I DID IT!!! I ran the ENTIRE 3.1 miles without stopping. My gosh, I had to run up and over two bridges and by the time I started up the incline for the second one, I thought I was going to die. I wanted to give up and start walking soooooo bad but I kept telling myself if I didn't run, I would be so upset with myself. So I kept at it and I made it over that last bridge and got to come downhill across the finish line. I completed the race is 32 minutes, 29 seconds. Not too shabby for my first race! I don't know what place I came in but there were a TON of people there. I know I came somewhere in the middle ... I was just thankful not to be last! I was just beaming inside everytime I ran to pass someone! When I find out my finishing results, I'll let you know. I posted my "after race" picture on my profile. I'm standing next to my friend who ran the race with me. I'm the one in the blue tank top. Bless you all for your kind words and prayers! Believe me, I felt them today and you all helped me across those bridges and through the finish line! I could not have done it without you! Praise the Lord, I completed my first race!!! Now I wanna do it again and beat my time!!! Life is grand! Deanna

Deanna I'm SO pleased for you. You were on my mind all day. You must be feeling on top of the world. And to think that less than a year ago you might not have been able to walk that far, let alone run the whole way!!!!! Was your husband pleased for you? I hope so
