Why is it that if you do one of these on the internet, on a home scale and the device at the gym do you get a different number for each of them. According to the internet I am 26 percent which I know isnt right. Than my scale at home says 24 and I question whether that is right or not. Now the thing at the gym is hand held and they did it 3 times as say that it is accurate..it says I am 21.8 which is pretty good in the scheme of body fat. Which one do you believe.. if the 21.8 is right I am in the excellent range of body fat percentage. hmmm.. it's all so confusing. What's your body fat percentage and how did you come by that number?

How's about you try and take all three then get an average: 21.8 + 26.0 + 23.0 equals 70.8 divide that by 3, it equals 23.6. I'd say your body fat percentage is 23.6 and I don't think that's bad at all. On the other hand i have no idea what it's supposed to be so maybe i'm not the right one to be asking! Hugs, ANDI

My doctor's office uses a Body Composition Analysis machine that hooks electrodes up to your body and runs a current through you. The last time I had one done was when I weighed 175 and my body fat percentage was 21%. Now I'm 167 pounds so I don't know what it is. All I know is that for the last 7 months, I haven't lost any lean muscle, only fat. Woo hoo! I have to wait til May to find out what my body fat percentage is again. I love finding that out! Deanna
