Plastic Surgery... 23 days away!

Ok, I'm freaking out! I had gastric bypass on May 30, 2006 and have lost 130 pounds and am 23 days away from having a tummy tuck, breast lift and breast implants. I am so afraid of the pain and recovery. I am in the best shape of my life.. all 21 years of it and have a trainer who is preparing me for surgery but I can't stop thinking if this is a mistake. Any advice?? I would really appreciate it!!!!!

I don't recall seeing you on the boards at all, nice to meet you after 10 months. Not sure how to answer your question(s) but you'll do what needs to be done. That's alot of surgery at one time, did you push for that many or did the surgeon? Good luck to you. ANDI

Neither of us pushed for it. It is just easier to do all at the same time. I will be going to an aftercare center for 2 days to recover with nurses and doctors on call so I'm feeling better about that. From what I understand having the TT, BL, and BA all together is fairly common.

I just had a breast reduction/lift done and it really was not that bad. They say the pain from the tummy tuck is similar to the pain from our gastric bypass surgery so you should do just fine. Congrats on the weight loss and best of luck on your PS. I hope you have a speedy recovery. Kel

Karlie, You had the same fears going into the surgery remember...you did fine and you will do fine with this one too. You are young and strong and have nothing to worry about. You know I would trade places with you in a heartbeat! Trish
