Our trip to the Zoo
Hi everyone!
I'm so excited because we took our kids to the Zoo this weekend to celebrate my son's 3rd birthday. We walked all over that Zoo in the pouring down rain but we had FUN! The best part was that you have to walk up this hill to get back out of the Zoo and my son went running up the hill so I ran after him to chase him. I ran up that entire long hill and got to the top and realized I wasn't even out of breath! I stood at the top of that hill just laughing out loud and my husband was huffing and puffing to get to the top. He got to the top and said "How in the world did you just run up that hill all the way?" Ha, ha, ha! I did it!
The best part was that I wasn't even tired or sore after such a long day. A year ago in the same situation I would have had terribly swollen feet and I would have been seriously tired. It was a great feeling to know I've changed so much in a years time!

That is so wonderful. I am so happy for you. I have a tear in my eye as I know the same feeling of being out of breath and hurting so bad after trying to spend some quality time with my kids. It's so great having ur life back and I am so happy for you.. you deserve it.. you are an awesome person. big hug from me.. carla

I am just so pleased for you. I know the wonderful feeling of being able to run and keep up with your children and how amazing it is to totally enjoy a tiring day with them, instead of being exhausted by it.
Maybe seeing you run up that hill and him having to struggle up spoke volumes to your husband...?
By the way, your new picture looks great
wow. That;s great!
you're a champ as far as exercise, and I"m proud of you...
i'm doing some running on the treadmill these days, and have worked up to doing quarter miles at 6, 7, or 8 miles an hour. then i go back down to 4 for a lap, then back up. i do about three miles in 45 minutes and it says I"ve burned 510 calories or so.
have you heard about the walking team the surgeon's office sponsored for last year's portland to Coast? the team was "formerly fat folks" and it sounded like they had a great time. i'm thinking of signing up to do it this year? shall i get you the info too?
