Does anyone have any suggestions for breakfast? I usually have a 2 egg cheese omlette and I love eggs but am getting a little sick of them. So I would like to know what everyone does for breakfast, so that I can add a little variety to my meals. Thanks. Amy

Sorry I can't help you here Amy I gave up on breakfasts ages ago and just have a protein shake now as I dump on cereal and milk and if I have toast (carb) I end up craving food all day so avoid that like the plague!!!

I eat a lot of eggs and cheese as well. I make different kinds of omlettes to change it up.. ham, bacon, sausage and charizo (?). I also eat fruit for breakfast like banana's, I now eat oatmeal, the low cal one with no sugar added brown sugar one and cream of wheat. It gives me enough variety that I enjoy my breakfast meals. Cottage cheese and yogurt are also good breakfast choices you can do. So if you do a different one each day it will give you some variety throughout the week.. good luck.

ok i posted this a few weeks/months ago and I got some good answers! I no longer think of my meals in terms of the hour of the day but of the nutritional value of them! That has helped liberate me from the breakfast rut! I eat tuna fish, tilapia, salmon, quiche, cottage cheese with either pineapple or jalapenos depending on my mood, I also eat steak, chicken which i no longer enjoy, turkey and that's about it for me. If you think of it as just another meal it takes out the "breakfast stigma" cause if you think about it, most breakfast foods are fatty and/or carbs! I also make myself lettuce wraps (lettuce leaf, turkey/ham/roast beef, some condiment and then wrap it up and snarf it down) Hugs, ANDI

Hmmm...thats' interesting. I still think of my meals in the traditional way, and have thought it strange when I read about people eating meat & other non traditional things. But the way you put it, it makes sense to me - it's just another meal where we can get nutrients in. I'll have to rethink my breakfasts now. All other 'diets' say you MUST eat breakfast as it gets the metabolism started in the morning. What do others think about this - how does it translate to our new eating plans? Do we need to 'kick start' our metabolisms in the morning?

I've heard in some countries they eat breakfast at night and dinner in the morning. You need less food in your system when you sleep and more during your busy part of the day. I read that Sly Stallon has always done that and thats how he keeps himself so muscular.. I dont remember the other actors but there are a few who do that as well.. It kind of makes since if you think about it.

I believe i make healthier choices all day if i eat a good/big breakfast! I had a professor in culinary school who told us to eat like a king in the morning, a princess in the afternoon and a pauper in the evening! His reasoning behind that was that it's easy to burn off y our heaviest meal if you've still got the whole day in front of you, not so much if you're having it at night then retiring to the couch.
