Anyone feeling really tired?
Is anyone else out there feeling really tired?
I don't know what my problem is. I wake up feeling tired still and by lunch time I just want to take a nap really bad! All my blood work came back fine so I'm not lacking in anything.
My only other thought was that I quit using my cpap machine. I had another sleep study done in December and it showed I still have mild sleep apnea. But my doctor said I could try going without my cpap to see how I felt because I was taking my mask off during my sleep anyway. So, I haven't used the cpap in a long time. I decided to use it again last night and I managed to keep the mask on all night but I tossed and turned a lot.
So, my question is ... is anyone else feeling tired? Is it just because we are more active now and wearing ourselves out? I'm sure part of my problem is that I need to continue using my cpap. But I was curious if anyone else is unusually tired lately too!

Lets see, 40 hour of work a week, 2 college classes, 20 hours of homework, remodeling the house, 4 to 5 hours of sleep a night............uh no I don't think I am having a real problem with being tired . Seriously though, did they set your pressure down after the last sleep study. I know they knock my BiPap way back after a post op sleep study. Maybe the pressure is just too high is the reason you are throwing it off at night.

hey Dee do you have a copy of your last blood work and the one before it to compare them? I keep copies of all my blood work because although the numbers are in the "normal" range some of your numbers might be lowering (look at the b and b12) and that would make you exhausted. I've been tired alot lately but i know I wasn't taking my vitamins regularly, I am now and i think i can tell the difference. ANDI
I went from an 18/11 bi pap to a 11 cpap the last sleep study I had.. i was tossing that thing acrossing the room everynight cause it was so high. I know when i dont use it I am much more tired than usual and get up more often in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. see if they can lower the setting for you. and changing vitamins is a good idea too. With spring here and the weather being so weird I know I am going through mixed feelings each day.. its warm.. happy.. its cold.. sad...
Tired.. I cant lie i am always tired.. thats why I am trying to up the calories a bit as the nut said... just not sure i am doing better yet.. I am lucky I am the only one in my office because i doze off in my chair a few times a day... lol when i have no work to do.. at least now they cant hear me in the next building snoring..hehehe
Oh goodness....the one thing since surgery that I hate is when people say, " you look awesome, you must feel fantastic" Umm....actually I am still just as tired now as I was before surgery. I am still yawning in class and still feeling sleepy in the afternoons. All my numbers are good as well and I take my vitamins, but I don't know what can be done.
I mean, I am not MORE tired than I was 160 pounds ago and I am a ton thinner so that's a plus...I am just still sleepy all day....and I sleep a lot.
personal opinion:
we have been on a really exhaustive roller coaster ride. the months of mental prep leading up to, and the months of post op struggle leading down the garden path. it has been one hellofa year IMO. I know that I am EXHAUSTED. I push my self harder than ever to keep up my lifestyle choices. drove 3000 miles in the last 3 weeks working. I run about 20 hours a day, so I know WHY I am tired, but I have always run this hard. I think that the breaking point was the stress of constantly making good choices and then getting on the scales to see if they really were good choices. ;)
