QOTD
pre op snack --- anything crunchy (popcorn, chips, etc)
Now - healthy snack fave is graham cracker w/ a bit of peanut butter and a little cheddar cheese
bad snack - reduced fat triscuits or reduced fat ritz crackers (lays slogan can be applied here...I can't eat just one)
I loved and still love pizza. The meat crust pizza is a great alternative, but once every couple of weeks or so I'll endulge in a piece of thin crust pizza. Not the healthiest but so much better than eating 1/2 of a thick crust pizza. Plus it keeps me from feeling deprived. Moderation is the KEY!
Pre-op I was into ANYTHING chocolate ... not just a little bit, but huge quantities! Now I really like those South Beach cookies (oatmeal chocolate chip) for my treat on days that I go to the gym. I also like graham crackers with peanut butter on them!
My favorite food was pizza. I have found that Papa Murphy's has a low cal/low carb DeLite pizza and I love it. I get one maybe once a month and have a couple slices. It totally satisfies my pizza craving and it's low carb and fits into my eating plan. So, no guilt there!

Favorite snack pre op - Chips & Salsa...but really anything salty and crunchy
Favorite snack post op - Chips & Salsa...still anything crunchy. Do any of you see a problem here? I do..why can I still eat this? Why do I not dump on it darn it?
Favorite food: Pasta, pasta, pasta - I am a carboholic. I still eat WAY too much of it.
I will say that I DO NOT and HAVE NOT eaten any type of sweets at all since surgery. No cookies, no cakes, no candy...I even made peanut butter cookies last night and didn't even "nibble" but stick a lasagna in front of me you better get out of the way!
