I had an opportunity to encourage someone that is doing it the 'difficult way' (gutting it out) and she lost 32 and then gained 7 in a couple of days. you know the water retention tango. I told her to just keep being assertive with her body. and that she would get through this plateau. she was so discouraged, she bought and ate a whole bag of chips. poor thing. we have all been there. I told her that the gain was probably water, and that she was dehydrated. she is only doing 64 oz a day, I told her to try for 100. my sincere hugs to her.
Guys, it has helped me SOOOOOOOOO much hearing that others have been stuck for a while and / or that their weight can change by 5 lbs in one day, as this is exactly what happens to me. So I'm not the only one...
Not that I would wish these things on you all, but it is good to know I'm not going crazy
Thsi is the longest I've stuck on a diet / weight loss plan, and at times lately I have to admit I've wished I could go and stuff myself and say what the heck. But I'm glad this is not an option after WLS and if we keep sticking we will ALL get where we want to be weight wise.
Keep your eyes on the prize and we'll be there before we know it - one step at a time
