Ok.. so my hair is having moments. Anyone wanna tell me what you think I should do with it. the look I was going for was a meg ryan cut (short but not to short and messy).. what do you think.. and dont think about red hair.. Not gonna do it.. everyone says it.. I like my hair a little more on the blonde side. My hair is naturally brown with a whole lot of grey.. yes I am old.. Here are my questions Should I let it grow long or keep it short What style.. if you are selecting a style is there a person that has that style that I can look at.. Help.. I am tired of my hair.. By the way.. you all mentioned make up to make me look less tired.. well I have never worn make up so I am totally at a loss there.. any suggestions for that..

I suggest you go into a really good department store and ask the clerk behind the Clinique counter for some make up tips, a good concealer and under eye cream would help the tired look and some foundation to even you out, after that you can decide how much "goo" you want to wear. I wear a full face of goo every day but i like how I look in it now! As for the hair, if you get good answers let me know, my hair looks hideous,it's thin and rather stringy now! I LOVE red hair and will be a red head in my next life! Hugs, ANDI

I love bare minerals, great light makeup and they have allot of places in Ca to go and buy it.... I think you should go through a style book and pick a cut, they blondish hair looks good on you so stay with that.

I love the bare minerals too! Try a little bronzer ,it always helps .Go for the blond and maybe some golden hilights with layering around the face .I'm thinkin the cameron diaz cut.

I was in the same boat as you! Do I want long or short hair? I went to get it done the on Monday and my beautician liked it better long,so that settled that! Its not really real long! I am old, too,my younger sister used to tell me when you get old (over 40)you should have short hair?? I have the greys going, too,so I had it highlighted. I also have natural curly hair, that I hate! So she jelled, moosed and whatever and made it curly...I usually spend the time uncurling it!!! But anyway I have allot of compliments on it from high school kids!! I work at the high school, felt pretty good about it!! Makeup...the only thing I wear is eye shadow and mascara--so can't help you out there!!

I had to laugh when I read this too old for long hair at 40, LOL tell your sister to hush..LOL.. I am 44 and my sister is 40 we both have longer hair .. I think you going with what you like for you is the right length...LOL... its funny my husband think's after 40 you should have short hair... He is 53 (I think thats what the older generation was taught)...LOL when my grandmother was 92 (I helped take care of her and let her hair grow past her sholders) she had the most beautiful white silky hair..

I agree about going to a department store. However, I would look at all the workers at each counter and pick one that you like their 'look' makeup wise, to give you a makeover. You may need to book a time to come back. That way, you know you will come out looking something like they do style wise rather than something that is not you. No idea on hair, I'm bored with mine, didn't really like the style when I had it cut last time, so can't help you out - sorry

I lopped mine off before surgery, and now it is not growing, at all. so I am 'lucky' and do not have to 'worry' about it. ;) I think I will go get a trim anyways, just because it is feeling a little 'dry' on the ends. as for makeup. I never wear makeup. but I do washed it about every three months, and then apply a nice heavy moisurizer from mary kay, stuff is like crisco but wow, in the morning, your face is as soft as a 2 week old baby butt! ;) Kat Some people are like Slinkies - not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs. 275/144 then/now
