What's your view and your surgeon's on artificial sweeteners. I personally prefer Splenda (I use 8-10 packets a day with my coffee and tea. It helps me get in at least 40 oz of fluids!!!). I was just wondering what the consensus was on our board? Mandy

Mandy have you tried Stevia? ITs not marketed or sold in the sweetner section of the grocery store but it is great. I buy Sweet Leaf brand Stevia from Kroger - Ive seen it at Whole Foods also. Its a natural sweetner. Im like you - I need my drinks to be sweet to get them down( as much as I should). Still struggling to get to onederland as my weight has plateaued now for a month at 213! UGH!!!! Oh well, Give it a try, and let me know if you like it! I do! Happy Shopping! Kathryn

My RN mentioned it at our support group meeting Monday. She did say that it had a "taste" that some people didn't like. I'll see if I can find it.
