Ever have one of these days???
OK, my head is about to explode!!!!! Today is the kind of day that before surgery, I would have binged the entire day long until I was so stuffed that I was miserable. And then I would have eaten some more on top of that!
So, I go to the store today with my son (who is turning 3 next month). Putting it mildly, he is a handful! We're in the middle of the store and I'm looking at underwear, which I desperately need. And he proceeds to knock over an entire display system of bras and panties. Picture bras and panties ALL over the floor! We got them all picked up and I decided that I don't need the underwear that bad so we go to the pants section because they have a rack of jeans for 70%. I find a cute pair and take them to the dressing room to try them on and my son is crawling around on the floor of the dressing room and starts coughing on something. He reaches into his mouth and pulls out a pill ... I don't know what the heck kind of pill it is, some sort of medicine or something. Thank goodness it was a capsule and he didn't chew it up or anything and it was still in tact. But, gross and dangerous! Before we even get out of the store, he manages to knock over ANOTHER rack of pants this time. The hard part is that he is sooooo dang cute and everytime he does this, he looks up at me and says "Sorry Mommy!" Ugh!
So we get home and I get him a baggie of mini Vanilla Wafers for a snack so I can come online and check OH. But I hear SPLASH! I run into the next room and he had taken his baggie of Vanilla Wafers and emptied them into the dog water dish. And then he took half the "wafer water" and poured it into the dog food dish. And the dog was madly eating up his concoction! Plus, there is water all over the floor and soggy vanilla wafers everywhere! His clothes are wet, the carpet is wet, there is mess everywhere!
I'm about to have a major "Calgon, take me away" moment! The only upside to this story is that the pants I tried on fit ... a size 10! And they were only $9!
Now, the rest of the day just has to get better, right???

What a day!!!!!!! I got a box of Calgon in one of my Secret Sister baskets from church a few months ago. That stuff really, really works. I take a hot tub bath with that and I'm soooooo relaxed when I get out.
Though I don't have kids there are days when it seems anything that could go wrong does. I love my job, but my patience is often tested.
Your description sounds sooo much like my sister-in-law. they have a 5 y/o, a 4 y/o and a 20 month old. Her walmart outing scare me senseless!!!!!!
Hang in there!
Mandy
parenthood. the adventure that never ends!
life with our two is a bit easier now that Sofie is 4... just a bit more peaceful.
my woes have to do with dealing with petty controversies between church people. that's enough to make my head explode!
Deanna, you're a great Mom, and sound like you're incredibly patient.
power to you!
Joe
I'm just wondering how we managed to have the same kids....that sounds like my middle guy in a nut shell! All three kids are now singing the i'm bringing home a bumble bee song to the tune of kung fu fighting and it's making me hysterical and THAT"s what parenting is really all about...you'll forget the underwear episode eventually! Did i mention that the middle kid sailed a manequin through a plate glass window when he was two and the older boy was three, the glass was shatterproof but you had to see him trying to tell me what happened with his huge, anime, brown eyes and two year old vocabulary...it was hilarious in retroscpect...then it was not only mortifying but i was in tears. Friday was a day like that for me, I was almost in a car accident 3X's then left my ATM card in the ATM! Went to another to store to pay and (NO ATM) (thank God someone turned it in) (my husband just got his paycheck and bonus and we had 58 thousand in the checking account! (he would have KILLED me!) then on the way home I get pulled over for not stopping good enough before I made a right hand turn...... my daughter needs gas and spending money and my son is upset that his girlfriend is with the wrong crowd and wants to punch a wall..... not even Callgon can take me away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh well today is a better day (so far) I lost a pound and that puts me at 110 lost with 38 more to go ****il I reach my goal of 135)
