I've had my friend on my mind a lot lately so my question is gonna be based on friendship today. How do you measure a true friend, how many true friends do you consider you have and what makes them a true friend? To me a true friend is someone who is there for you in the good and the bad times. They dont get mad at you just because they disagree but excepts your differences and loves you anyway. They are someone who dont have to see or call everyday but know that when you do call they will be there. you can tell them everything without fear of judgement. they listen and base their comments, not on their own beliefs but on you and the person they know you are. they are in the true meaning your friend and want whats best for you. I consider only 2 people to be my true friends. the first one you know about.. Chrissy.. We have been friends for 25 years. I met her when she first moved to so cal and everythign she owned was in a sheet tied up. I rented a room at my house and there she stayed for 15 years until she moved to vegas 10 years ago. She was searching for herself just like I was and we grew together to become who we are today. There is nothing she doesnt know about me and the same holds true for her. We maintain contact and see each other at least 4 times a year. I know that if I needed her she would be at my front door shortly after I call. As you know I will be there any time chrissy needs me too. She is my true friend. My second friend has not been with me nearly as long. We have know each other 5 years. She and I both have had wls and have mu*****ommon and we work in the same place so we see each other a few times a month. We have grown close over the years. I dont give myself to everyone the first time I meet them. they need to earn that kind of intimacy with me, but I can say that Valerie has truely become my second closest friend and one I enjoy spending time with. I know and she has proved that she is there for me at a moments notice. I know that I will be there for her anytime she needs me as well. I believe if we are lucky enough in life to find one true friend we have accomplished more than many will ever have. Friendship is so easily given away sometimes that we miss the true meaning of what a real true friend is.. Those people are aquintances.. people we share time with if only for a while and move on. they somehow in rich our lives so we need them, but it is the true friend that you may not see everyday, but know will be a part of your life forever to share in every special moment you both have.

I am blessed because I give my heart to my friends very easily, sometimes it's broken but that's pretty rare! I have my best friend Sue who has been my best friend for 36 years now, what a treasure she is. We are polar opposites and yet she feels like she completes my heart. She is there when i feel the whole world has walked away. My second best friend was Howard, it'll be three years in June that he's past away, I miss him like it was yesterday. After Howard I wasn't sure i wanted anymore close friends and yet G*D put quite a few in my path....there's Bob who I went through surgery with and who truly feels like an extension of myself, we have that mu*****ommon (if i were a man i'd want to be Bob!), his lovely wife and my dear friend Diana who I think, might be the nicest human being i've ever met, Melanie who's like my kitten (can't explain that but NO she doesn't have to eat the gazelle), Dawn who I bonded with immediately and is deeply in my heart. Make me cry why don't ya!!!!!!! Diana does not come on here so I will have to show it to her. I know she will cry. I have to say that I have my best friend Mike who I clicked with when I joined the Fire Department years ago. I also have found a 2nd best friend in Andi as we went thru our surgery together and the life after surgery I find myself growing closer to her. We are way too much alike and I have to say she is like a sister to me. I have also found close friends with her like Melanie and whiel I don't talk to Dawn as much I would say she is just like us. A ball of fire. Of course I have my real best friend in my wife who I love and adore and can talk to her about anything. Peace and Love, Chezeburger AKA BOB
