So what???
WOW that's some harsh reality for y ou Jeany Beany! How do you try and make yourself "fit in" with a family like that unless you decide it's not a competition and i'm going to live my life as I choose to live it. My mom is thin but all the siblings are huge so i'm doing great in accordance. Hugs, ANDI
Oh Deanna
Thank you so much for this post. It has really helped me, more than you could imagine.
Before and in the early days of WLS the phrase I held onto was 'this too shall pass', but I dont' need that any more. So what???!!!!! is going to be my phrase from now on, and I'm going to live my life with that. So what that my belly flops -it's my sign of how much I have achieved that they are not filled with fat cells anymore. So what that my hair in thin, it's my sign that I am finally getting fit and healthy.
Thanks again Deanna
your post made me feel so good! in my humble opinion, acceptance (of ourselves, our cir****tances, and others) is one of the greatest challenges of life.
i try daily to practice acceptance. i am an almost 45 year old woman that spent years of her life feeling less than because of my weight and many other issues. i can accept that love and acceptance of myself may take me a little while. --so what?
