Alcohol that is? Come on am I the only one? I frequently enjoy a couple glasses of wine and dare I say a shot now and then? Sofar when I know we are going "out" I account for the alcohol in my daily calories and such. What I do notice is that I am able to eat more...lots more if I let myself. It's like the alcohol puts the nerves in my pouch to sleep, make sense? Also, the next day my intenstinal track is a bit fiesty but nothing too bad. So do you think I am doing any damage? Anybody else have expierences with alcohol?

I was never a big drinker, but I did have a shot of tequilla when I hit the 100 pound lost mark. I figured It was worth it!

Yes. I have to admit I have enjoyed the easy intoxication my little pouch gives me. BUT after a couple of times of being too drunk I've learned moderation. I go out maybe once a month to a bar/dance club and I let loose and have a couple of drinks. Mandy

I've never been much of a drinker and got drunk with just one glass of something so I havent even tried to drink since i had my wls. I am affraid of what would happen cause I was always such a light weight. lol. with that said.. i may have had a drink once a year before so not drinking doesnt really affect me at all.

Yes. I am definatley a drinker. I mostly drink diet coke and captain morgans (i can't do diet coke by itself...i think it is the captain that reduces the carbonation) and wine. Beer is too carbonated for me and other mixed drinks are ok but my drink of choice is captain. I probably drink once every 2-3 weeks and honestly I don't feel guilty doing it. Yeah I know I could give up the calories but I just enjoy being out and having drinks when I can. I have found that I can drink WAY more than I could before, and I get tipsy faster but then I sober up faster too, so I guess you just drink more b/c you are just chasing the buzz. I know it isn't good for me, but again I have so much fun and I think it is OK. Kristen

Hmmmmm???? Let me think....YEEEAH!!! Wine is best for me; If I have a ****tail I measure an ounce and use Crystal Light as a mixer. No issues for me with drinking just be very conservative and responsible. Sugars can really do a whammy on us post WLS folks. Regina party girl
