Friday Weigh In
I haven't been posting this lately as the scales are not my friend so I haven't been talking to them I dropped 3 pounds overnight a few weeks ago then shot up 15 pounds!!!! what the...... then they slowly came back down 6 pounds and have settled there for a while. So I'm still up about 6 pounds from where I had got to. Not sure what's going on but it freaked me out big time. I've calmed down a bit more now, and am waiting for this big drop like some of you guys get. I won't hold my breath though - I may pass out before I can get off the scales. hee hee.
Also, do you weigh less after taking a shower? I don't get it - the scales go down usually 1 pound but anything up to 3 pounds after a shower for me. So of course I always take the lower number. It's not like I dehydrate in the shower is it? Another of lifes dieting mysteries.
Anyway, that's no excuse not to post for all you guys and I'm a little happier with the scales although we are not on friendly terms yet so here goes...

ONLY 51 pounds to go to goal (**grinning through gritted teeth**)
Hey all.. I dont know what happened this week.. i havent lost for a while than started going to the gym and I am trying to increase my calories so all of a sudden I started dropping weight like crazy this week. I always weigh more after a shower.. that is strange.. you loose.. i may need to check it out more..

Dont ask my why but I am not gonna argue with that weight loss.. i have noticed i think its coming from the girls.. they are looking pretty bad right now.. lol..
Ruth-Step away from the scales!!!(ok I know I should take my own advice hehe).I really don't know what to say about being up 6lbs from where you were!! I think the lose some gain some thing we go through has alot to do with fluid & salt intake, hormones, our period, age(the metabolism thing). Not sure. But at least it came back down some for you!! I know we are not suppose to compare ourselves to each other( but I think it is just human nature) I get on the main board & look for people who are the same height, start weight etc... then read their profiles to see if I am comparable to where they were at 9 months!!! I know I am just torturing myself!!but I can't help it. I have to have those mental talks with myself -slow & steady wins the race-It is better for my skin etc... This is the only way I can make it without going crazy & taking I hammer to that scale.

135 was my original goal- my dr goal is 120 So to meet his goal I still have 15lbs to go! The only reason I lost this week is cause it was that time of the month!! From mid Dec to mid Jan I lost 3lbs from mid Jan to mid Feb I have only lost the 2 lbs this week. It seems I only lose the week of my period. Whats up with that??
I know the closer you get to goal the slower it gets but dang!!At this pace I won't be to goal by my 1yr anniversary either. I really hate complaining as I see other people struggling too!!I feel guilty complaining since I am so close to goal. But we are all in this together right!!!
I've gone for almost a month and half without loosing anything....and now i've dropped five lbs. guessing it stress from the upcoming surgery....probably not the best wsay to loose it and it'll probably come back on at some point...but this is where i'm at today:
