Yay everything has turned white here in Blighty and dd, dh & me all have a snow day (as dh & me work in schools!). This is just what I needed - a surprise day off with no errands planned, where I can take some me me time, sit with a cup of tea and watch the relaxing snow gently fall and not feel guilty about it. Peace and relaxation to chill my mind. What more can a gal ask for? Well maybe to get off this plataue (sp?) I've been on for sooooooo long??? ha ha. Oh well you can't have everything and I'll get moving again soon. For now I'm going to get me a big ol' blanket, snuggle up and be a couch potato all day - well at least until we all decide to go out and build a snow man and have a snowball fight. Stay warm.

Being from california, snow is not a common thing for me.. my inlaws lived in the mountains for years and as they got up in age we would have to go dig them out of the snow several times during the winter.. that being said.. snow is not my friend.. my children loved it.. they got to sled in grandma's yard, but I was not all that crazy about lugging my fat butt up and down that hill getting them on the sled.. sad that I let my weight hender my good times with my children. I think sitting and looking at the snow is wonderful and a great time for reflection.. I'm glad you have a day to do that.. It's wonderful to get an unexpected day off where you got nothing to do but have me time.. have fun with it.

Hey Carla you know the best thing about today was when we all got dressed up to go out and play in the snow. I was running around with Ron and Millie throwing snow balls and building snow men and didn't get puffed at all. Amazing. So much fun with all my new energy
