Totally OT: Las Vegas ...
Helloooooo!
This board is SLOW today! I'm so bored! Hee, hee!
Anyway, my husband and I might get to go to Las Vegas in June for 3 nights. My inlaws offered to watch the kids for us so we can take a real vacation by ourselves! Woo hoo!
Neither of us have been to Vegas ... has anyone been and have recommendations on things to do, places to eat, etc? Neither of us really gamble but we just want to see everything ... my husband is a major Engineer and techno-geek so we will be renting a car to drive to Hoover Dam. Any other ideas?

I love Vegas and will be going back for valentines day. You need to see the Bellagio and Caesars. If you can see a show see O its wonderful.. The shopping is great and you can eat well anywhere.... I am not much of a gambler and play penny slots...LOL we take $100. and he plays video poker and I play penny slots... If I win $30 or more I stop...LOL if I lose my $100 I stop...LOL... I do love the lounges and just walking in the casino shops and malls. Do see at least 1 show
Vegas is my addiction.... guilty pleasure.
My boyfriend and I went a few weeks ago and my best friend and I are going Feb9-14th.
3 days is kinda short to visit the Grand Canyon. That will take an entire day. Hoover Dam is cool - if you're gong in June do it in the early morning or late afternoon as it gets very hot.
Make sure you stay middle strip. Although you'll have a rental car driving the strip is crazy traffic.
The Wynn Hotel is a must see. being that this is your first visit you'll want to tour most hotels. Ceasers Palace has an awesome mall. MGM is a really nice hotel. They're all different experiences.
Hi Megan,
My hubby & I were there Jan 5-10. When were you there? I wanna go back!!! Can I ride along in your suitcase in February??? We should plan a May board reunion for our surgiversary present to ourselves.
I had so much fun. I danced on the bar at Coyote Ugly & we went to Studio 54. My girlfriends won't go there with me, bummer.

I just LOVE Vegas. We stayed at the Mandalay Bay Resort which was beautiful but not my kind of place..pool was gorgeus, jazz was phenomenal but it was too far off the strip to be really fun! You need to see the Freemont Experience, I was dragged to the Star Trek Exhibit (it was hell!), we went to see Cirque De Whatever now i can't remember what i saw. I saw a nudie type show, that turned my husband on so I didn't have to. The food was really a non-issue just bring your weight loss surgery card so they don't charge you full price if you go to a buffet. I loved standing atop the Eiffel Tower watching the Bellagio Fountains. I rode the stratosphere, I shopped alot,it was awesome. Go to Barnes & Noble they have a "must see" book that you could browse through. Be Well, ANDI
