Protein Bars
i had my surgery May 2006 and started off at about 266 and now weigh 179.Weighed myself tonight.I have been at a stand still for awhile between 179-180 pounds. I have decieded to try the plateau buster diet. For the 45 grams of protein supplement I purchased snicker marathon protein bars they have 26 grams of protein and 16 vitamins and minerals.I need to go back to the basics to jump start off my weight loss again.I feel as though I fell off the wagon. The problem I have with the bars is that they have 15g of sugars. Is that too much?Any advice you can give is really appreciated.

that is a lot of sugar in my book but i'm betting if you either spread that out throughout the day or are you planning on using it as a meal replacement? I think many of us are plateauing, our bodies have gotten used to minimal food and now that we can actually "eat" a bit more they decided to just stop and wait and see what happens food wise. Best of luck to you. ANDI
Hi
I started out at 266 too and am now 185. Those snicker protein bars sound delicious, but I know if I ate one in one go, I would mst likely dump on the sugar. You could do aas Andi suggested and cut it into smaller protions and spread it out througout teh day.
I think I need to go back to basics too and others on the board have said teh same thing. I think it's an 8 month thing. DOnt' worry - we'll get through it just like we have all the other tough stuff on this journey.
Troubel is, I dont' seem able to stick to the basics...ahggggggg
I really would like to get my protein from food but I am trying to do the plateau buster diet and it says you must have 45 grams of a protein supplement.I hate protein drinks so when I seen this,I thought it would work.I started eating it today at about3pm at work and still have not finished it.I just want to break this weight loss stall.Any ideas would be great...Thanks
