Carla, Not sure what to say!!! When was your last labs done? What was your B12 level? Low B12 can cause neuropathy, which affects the nerve endings! or maybe you just pinched a nerve with all the new workouts. Anyways I would call the Dr. Keep a close eye on it!! Hope it resolves itself!!((Hugs)) ~Missy~

Get medical advise - NOW. If it's nothing then you don't need to worry. But if it is something, you need to find out asap. Please let us know how things go

oh oh oh this started for me in December, drives me batty. it is my right foot (just the top) and then mostly the right side from foot to hip. went to my surgeon, he has no clue. but he said that it is not vitamin deficencey but it could be a pinched nerve in my back due to posture change due to change in center of gravity. it is not sciatic nerve since I can lift my leg beyond a certain point. all in all he said that if it does not go away in 2 - 3 months to visit my primary. meanwhile he recommended calcium suppliments. heehee he said that he just does that to everyone but it couldn't hurt.

Hi Carla, Hmmm I would call your surgeons office. I really don't have any advise to offer but hope it goes away for you soon. I think one of the best responses was Kat's- it makes alot of sense. I saw you posted on the Main Board. Let us know if you get any other good feedback from there. There is soooo much posting on the MB that somethings things get lost in the shuffle. Keep us posted. Take care, Kristen

Someone just posted on the main board that they had their foot go numb and went to the er.. she said that the doctor asked her if she crossed her legs.. when she told him she did he explained that a lot of times with ppl who have lost a lot of weight and can cross their legs now they sometime do something to a nerve in the back of their knee.. he told her to stop crossing her legs and it would go away.. she said it worked.. as i sit here with my legs crossed.. very interesting...

Well I got a doc appointment for this morning.. my pcp is off today so I will be seeing someone who doesnt know me.. I think I will just ask for blood work and a B12 shot to be on the safe side.. than of course listen to what they think.. but it doesnt hurt to get the bloodwork done.. I have never had my bloodwork done since surgery. Well let you know when I get back what they say.

Carla, I am surprised you haven't had any bloodwork since surgery. I have had it done twice by my surgeion now. It turned out fine the first time but just recently my iron levels were low...so I got put on more iron and more calcium. Looking forward to your response. Take care, Kristen

Well i do get labs but its for my arthritsis.. cbc.. stuff like that.. but, my wls wants my pcp to do it cause it is contracted out.. my pcp expects them to do it.. lol.. so she did take blood today to test all my vitamin areas... So here is my update.. Doc says.. leg is not swollen, no physical signs of anything wrong.. my have put pressure on my knee causing my leg to essentially fall asleep like.. nothing but to watch it.. dont cross my legs.. stay off the front of my knee area and see if it goes away.. may have just strained it working out yesterday.. Go figure.. still fills the same.. very weird.. guess I will adjust to how it feels until it goes away..
