I'm so sad

My sons 7 month old pony just died.. The trainer had her out walking her and she just dropped dead in the field. She was growing really fast so it was probably her heart.. My son (11) is a mess right now. He has been working with her since she was 5 hours old. All the horses are at grandmas so we will have to wait til the weekend to go out to the ranch and see her.. Sad sad day for all of us..

Oh Carla, that is SO sad! I'm so sorry your son is having to experience this. What a tragic and unexpected thing to have a pony die like that! How awful! I used to have horses ... love them! What was the pony's name? Deanna

He named her Brandy.. of course she has some big old long name I can never remember.. Grandma only has show horses. She was just getting to the point where he could take her and walk her around and start working with her. He has put all her pictures all over her room and made a memorial for her.. I'll take him on saturday to see grandma and the other horses.. She's gonna bring the mother of brandy back over, which is the horse that my son loved. She didnt want to keep her when she got the baby so she gave the pony to him and rented abby out to have another baby for someone else.. now she has to get the moma back so at least my son will have abby to console him. It was a tough day... He is taking her picture to school today to share with his classmate about what happened. It's best if he can talk about it and get his feelings out.

very sad. my daughter lost her dog recently, and she is getting better, but it is really hard process to go through.
