busy day/personal trainner
What a busy day I have today.. just thought I would check in and see how u all are doing.. I have 2 IEP's (meeting for my kids) and a meeting with a trainner at the gym.. Yesterday I worked my legs.. yes they are sore... =-( but i guess its good for me.. so today I will add another sore area to my list.. I am thinking of getting a trainner for a while to whip me into shape.. not sure how much they cost but I hear it can be kind of expensive. She is gonna talk to me about it today. She used to weight like 220 pounds and lost it through diet and exercise so I feel like she will know whats best for me right now.. guess I'll wait and see what they have to say.. anyone got any opionions about personal trainers.. let me know..
Hi Carla!
Good for you! I'm so glad to hear you're experimenting at your gym ... you will love it! I'm totally addicted now. I just LOVE my Spin class!!!
I don't have a personal trainer; I have a fitness coach. There is no charge for me to see her and I can make an appointment to have her change up my fitness plan. Originally she set up a routine for me on the weight machines for my strength training plan. I meet with her once every month or two to change this plan around. She is also available to me if I need to ask her advice about cardio workouts too. She doesn't exercise with me or watch me while I exercise, which I like. But she does provide me a plan to workout to. I'm kind of shy so I prefer not to have someone watch me while I workout!
It sounds like the personal trainer you're going to see is perfect! I'm sure she will have lots of wisdom to pass on to you. My fitness coach weighs all of about 100 pounds but she is so sweet and kind and she always encourages me. I never feel funny around her at all! She truly has helped change my life!
I don't really have any advice ... I just know you're going to love going to the gym! I find that I'm so inspired by myself and I can do so many things I didn't think I could!
I can't wait to hear how it goes!

OMG... ok.. quick update.. went to the trainner... first off i actually did the elipitical machine for 30 minutes.. can u believe it.. I was so pumped I could do that.. it said i went a little over 2 miles and burned 290 calories.. not to bad for my first time.says i need to eat more.. becaused i burned more than i ate this morning on the machine.
She worked on my back and arms.. yikes.. shes a shark.. she doesnt let u rest at all.. keep that cardio up.. go go go.. u can do it.. two more.. come on.. i was dying.. but it was a great work out... I go back tonight to discuss the program and decide if I wanna do the program.. its not to bad.. $156 a month and i get to see her 1 time a week with an additional 16 free times I can use anytime.. which I would use now to get myself set up right in the program.. what do u all think...gotta have an answer tonight.. no.. its not cheap.. but i save more than that in food each month now..lol..
Is that fee on a month-to-month basis??? I say, go for it! If you can afford it, you will really benefit from it!
Great job on the elliptical! I couldn't even do 3 minutes when I first started and now I'm up to 40 minutes. It's amazing how many calories you burn! They told us you can burn up to 600 calories in a 60 minute Spin class! Woo hoo!
You go girl!!!
