La fitness
ok guys.. im gonna go check out la fitness today. I know Ive been going to curves, but I just dont feel like its doing much for me.. has anyone else done curves and la fitness. I know that I dont sweat or get overly winded doing curves and other than the first day feeling a little sore I dont know if i am getting much from the work out. I was a member of la fitness years ago (back when I was healthy) and worked out 3 times a week. do you think thats a better option for me? I think that cycling class could really help me get back into shape to ride again.. curves doesnt have anything like that as you know.. and I really need some cardio and dont feel like curves is giving it to me.
Hi Carla!
This is just MY opinion but I think you probably aren't getting enough from Curves. My doctor told me not to even bother with Curves because he didn't feel I'd get enough variation and not enough cardio. I know a lot of people love Curves and have gotten really good results from them. But I think that once you pass a certain point, you need more.
I've never heard of La fitness ... is it like a regular gym? I love going to my gym ... I love having the choice of classes to take. And I have a fitness coach who I meet with once every month or two and she gives me a new list of strength training machines to do. But, I love the Spin class the best! I think having all these options makes it easier to not get bored.
Anyway, that is just my opinion!

yes its a gym.. i think they also call themselves 24 hour fitness. they have a pool, sauna, racketball courts, basketball courts, full weight room, machines like that eliptical machine that i hear so much about, they have cardio, spin, yoga, dance classes and a ton of other things.. they also have trainers that can help me devise a plan for my specific needs...
I just dont think 30 minutes of curves a day is cutting it.. its to easy... dont feel it working anything really, and dont even have a sweat when Im dont so Im not getting the cardio up enough to push my body.
WOW it sounds like a phenomenal gym for those of us that just don't like the gym! Dance class has always been my thing so for me that's a winner, I also love a pool and sauna. I am taking a yoga class on 2/1 that i'm really looking forward to. Good luck, see if they'll give you a free week or if you can do a one month trial membership. I like to see how the gym and I will get along before I plunk down some serious hard earned money. Hugs, ANDI
