I need your help! I've not taken the right amounts or kind and I've suffered for it. I cant believe Im so ignorant about this and that I've let it go for so long. I just began taking a chewable multi by county life and am now takign 1500 mb of calcium, 2 biotin for my hair loss and 1 pepcid. I could use some ideas, encouragement....I think I look awful - I've aged it seem s15 years in this process as Ive let the vits go by the wayside.....no more!! Ive turned over a new leaf and I hope it shows in my appearance in a month or so.........so..what do you take daily? Thanks, Kathryn

Hi Kathryn, My Dr. has me on a lot of vitamins, here's the list: 2 perscription iron pills a day, one morning and one night, one B-1, one E-400, one B-12 sublingual, one A&D, calcium 1500 mg, mulit vitamins, and I take biotin also. Most of my vits are from TwinLabs and are capsules (this is the brand my dr. recommended). I know it seems like a lot but I have a little schedule I go by and I feel great, so it's way worth it! Good job getting back on track with the vitamins!!! Hugs, Bobbie

When I remember, which is usually 5 days out of 7, I take biotin (not that you'd notice from the way my hair is SO thin) and double the recommended amount on the bottle of a multi vitamin. Good for you - at least you are starting to get in your vits etc now. Better late than never...

I use building blocks vitamins (mainly b/c that's what my dr's office had when i had surgery..now i order them online --its cheaper to buy them in 3 month supplies). a.m. - 1 multi and 2-3 calcium (depends on what i feel i can get down) w/ about 4-6 oz of water mid day - 1 multi and 1-2 iron 30mg (supposed to take one but i do sometimes forget so occasionally i'll take 2) p.m. 1 multi and 2-3 calcium I also get a b-12 injection once a month (i'm 2 weeks overdue now but i'm going wednesday) BuildingBlocks Calcium Citrate contains 400 IU vitamin D for enhanced absorption. Daily serving size contains 1000 mg of elemental calcium Building Blocks also offers chewabls but I'm just not into that..I'd rather swallow horse pills. I have ran out before of the multi and used flinstones for about 2 weeks and my bloodwork was normal. Have a fabulous Friday! Mandy

I take 2 calcium chewables, Iron, B-12, 2 chewable multi-vitamins (childrens complete), flax seed oil (omega 3), 4 green tea extract capsuls, and 3 biotin tablets. I think that is all.shrug: You say you have been ignorant . . . did your surgeon not tell you what vitamins to take? Phenom

I take the green tea extract along with drinking a quart of green tea for metabolism purposes . . . you can google green tea and get more info on it . . . but there are other things associated with green tea - healthier heart, immune system etc. . . Phenom

Hey Kathryn, Dont feel bad, I haven't taken any vitamins this whole time since surgery. My blood levels were all normal at 6 months ( except my iron ) but I feel really guity about it too. I was hoping to find something liquid to take, pills and I dont get along too well, I think that has been part of my problem. I too don't feel as up to par and I know I should. I also think my skin and hair are suffering from the lack of nutriants. Anyway, we can do it!!! We just have to put it in our rutine for life!!!
