My body has been kind to me this week (for a change) as my eating has been terrible (as you know ) Anyway, although I got freaked during the week and had put on 3lbs when I weighed myself, I am back down to what I was last week when I weighed this morning (thank you thank you thank you)! Here are my numbers: Last week ~ 188 This week ~ 188 Start weight ~ 266 Total loss ~ 78 Woohoo!!!!!!! ONLY 3 til my next goal of being overweight and not obese anymore and ONLY 53 til my final goal of 135.

Well I finally broke my plateu. I have been stuck at 192 for about a month. Last week 192 This week: 190 Start weight 255 Total loss: 65 40 lbs from my goal of 150. I read the message board all the time and I try not to compare myself to everyone else, but it is hard. I feel like I am losing at the slowest rate. I am very greatful for the weight I have lost, but I think is should be more. Any advice I would appriciate. Thanks

Hi Carrie You have done so well. Don't compare your loss with others. Your body is exactly that - your body, and will loose at it's own rate. Just keep plugging away at it, a chip at a time and slowly the mountain will crumble. At the end of the day, who cares how long it takes, as long as we get there. I know it would be great if we were all at goal by now, but we aren't so we have to deal with it. I know if I hadn't had WLS I would still be the same if not bigger than I was before. So any loss is a bonus, and I know if we stick with it and stand together, we will make our mountain into a plain.... It helps if you try to look at all the positives not the negatives. Just keep trying to see the glass as half full (you've lost so much) not half empty (it's coming off so slowly) and before you realise it you will have reached your next goal. Are you giving yourself small goals to achieve rather than looking at the whole thing? I find this really helps me take the journey one step at a time.

Thanks Ruth! Thanks for your words of wisdom. I guess I need to hear it from people who know what I am going through. Yes I do set mini goals. My nextr goal is to lose 15lbs by my birthday of March 7th. Then the goal after that is to lose 25lbs by June 30th (my sister's wedding).

I was hoping for a loss this week but I guess I should honestly be thankful. Last week 219.4 This week 219.4 No loss No gain...I guess I can handle that with the way I ate this week...
