American Idol

Yeah yeah.. i know u all watch it.. so whos ready for the show tonight... give it up.. we need our own idol thread... I just cant wait... gotta have my idol fix

I LOVE the show, though I don't always agree with it. I couldn't stand Fantasia (to hear herr talk much less sing drove me nuts), Ruben (good, but I just liked Clay better), and Taylor (OMG, his movements make me insane, I was a Daughtry fan through and through). That being said I LOVE the show. The try outs are always great (I can remember the first time I headr Carrie sing...I knew she was the one and the awful ones make me realize I'm not the worst singer int he world). But after the first couple of weeks I'm ready for the real talent. Mandy

Now I loved Fantasia's voice.. she is a wonderful singer, but her attitude left something to be desired. I dont like her record choices now. I bought the first album but none since.. I think I've listened a couple times.. Just not my style in music. Now I agree on Clay and he has actually done better than Ruben has as far as records and following.. but no one can argue Kelly Clarkson is the bomb from begining to end.. she proves it over and over again. Now Taylor.. I like him, but I think he is gonna be a one hit wonder.. That dorky appeal will only take you so far I think.. but who am I to say.. I loved Kathreen and Chris the most on the show last year. I think she had the puriest voice and most talent although her final song really sucked and I think it cost her big in the end.. Now on to my favorite.. yes.. Carrie.. I just love her.. but I love country music as well.. I listen to her all the time and know she is gonna be around for a long time. I didnt think she was the best at first, but she took it in.. learned and grew to be the best in that season.. What do you all think?

Carrie is awesome. I have the cd and its great beginning to end. I thought Fantasia tried to sound too much like Macy Gray. I can't wait to see what kind of talent we have this year.

I guess that's why they call it American Idol and not Yours (or My) Idol.

I have to admit, I've never been a big American Idol watcher. Now, Survivor and Amazing Race is different - I'm in front of the TV for every episode!

I watch them too.. I love survivor.. the great race.. i kind of got tired of it a year ago.. .. dont think i will cever get tired of american idol or survivor

sob sob sob I used to love ALL those shows and really miss them Taylor - I could never get past the crazy dancing, Kelly - the best, I love her rock chick style now better than the clean cut style, and does anyone remember Richard on survivor? Nasty player, but got what it takes..... Keep the thread going so I can get updates from y'all

YAY!! Only a few more hours! I love American Idol, it's so addictive! I think this is a great idea to have a Idol thread Carla! The auditions are so fun, but I always love it when the main competition begins... Do any of you play the Fantasy Idol online? I did last year and it was pretty fun, I think I'll play again.
