The Meeting Of Snackers Anonymous Will Now Come To Order
Ok Ladies and Gentlemen the meeting of snackers anonymous will now come to order. We are going to try something new today....no handfuls of nonsense, if you're gonna eat it you're gonna log it and find out how much you're eating! Grab a 1/4 or a 1/3 cup measuring device, I prefer the cheap crappy plastic ones as my good ones are being used by my daughter for doll purposes (*smile*). If you want to snack it you have to measuring cup it first, doesn't mean you can't have it you just have to measure and write it down, we'll do this till the end of the week and over the weekend we'll figure out what we've eaten and how we can cut back for next week. Thus far i've had a 1/4 cup of ranch dressing a 1/4 cup of cheese crumbles and a whole red pepper (small though). I am now drinking 16ounces of pink lemonade (the diet kind) and i plan on having some beef jerky around 10
ANYONE WANT TO TAKE MY CHALLENGE? C'MON you know you're snacking at least hold yourself accountable who else will? I love you all and we WILL succeed if i have to travel around the globe, find you, hug you, shake some sense into you and vice versa please and come on back home!

Thanks for this Andi. So far today I've had 1 small satsuma. Now when I get home is the time I need to get out the measuring cups for the peanuts. It's too easy to grab a few each time I walk past and not realise the amount going into my mouth by the end of the day.
What's a satsuma so i know if i have to come over there and kick your tiny heiny? Peanuts are not a bad treat, the operative word is treat and you need to know in what quantity you are eating them. I did a work out tape to belly dancing today, my arms hurt so much now which is a good thing, perhaps i'm tightening that nightmare of skin underneath them, gosh that's just so not pretty. I take belly dancing classes on Monday nights but i want to keep everything toned up. At work in February we are giving a class on belly dancing, tai chi and yoga and I dont' want to embarrass myself unless i absolutely have to. Hugs, ANDI
okay, my name is Kat, I am a snack-a-holic.
I will take the challenge. until this moment I was thinking, yeah, I had 1/2 a cookie yesterday, but nothing else
totally forgetting the 1/4 cup of p'nut butter filled pretzels. and I can not remember what else. oh and a nibble of chocolate chip chocolate bread to determine that it was INEDIBLE (forgot the baking soda)
so today is a new day. HUMP day. and I will log my goodies today.
See kat that is exactly what i'm talking about, I keep thinking boy i'm not eating a dog gone thing and really i'm like a piglet. It's all about accountability. It's not that you can't have those peanut butter filled pretzels (which sound so good!) but you need to measure/weigh them out and write them down so they are accounted for. I need to go out and get myself an iced coffee (decaf) so that i can get in some of my liquids, without that coffee i can't seem to get in what i need to get in. I had 2oz of beef jerkey which is good for like 24 grams of protein, then i had some soy protein balls which are 15 grams of protein and i had like an ounce and a half of cheese for breakfast so that has to be at least 6-8 grams of protein (i'm too lazy to get up and look right now) so worst case scenario i'm at like 45 grams of protein with salmon for dinner YUM! Hi my name is Mandy and I'm a snack - a - holic. I've been very honest on "the what did you eat today threads."...i think lol
My biggest snack problem is Triscuits. I use 2 or 3 with my cheese to help get some protein in BUT if I have them near me I will grab one here or 2 there...lol
I had some trailmix a neighbor gave me for Christmas THANK GOODNESS that is GONE. It has been really hard for me not to buy a pack of cigarettes this week in order to help avoid the snacking i'm wanting to do.

You my dear are my exception to the rule, i think to combat the smoking addiction you need to snack more but snack better. You need something that is going to take you a while to eat, like nuts with shells on them or something. or string cheese eaten strand by stand, pudding with a baby spoon, something that's going to keep you busy. What about beef jerky that's got to take you a while to eat, i chew that stuff like gum sometimes. I think you can snack well and snack often with good results. Keep up the good work on the smoking, I'm just so darn proud of you, Hugs, ANDI
