Hi Carla! I'm here! I was wondering where everyone was too! I'm all excited today! I had my weekly TOPS meeting (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) last night and I was down 3 pounds this week. Which put my weight at 182.25 ... no longer obese! I'm overweight!!! Ha, ha, never been so excited to be overweight in my life! I'm trying to be brave and set a goal for this year to run a race of some sort ... maybe a half marathon? I've NEVER ever done anything like this in my life! But I have a friend who is encouraging me to run with her. So I started jogging on the treadmill at the gym but I can only make it for 10 minutes before I feel like I'm going to die. Doesn't help that my overly endowed chest keeps pounding on me! So I need to work up to running in some sort of race ... might start off with a 5K. Geesh, I can't even believe I'm saying this! What am I thinking??? I'm also really getting into my Spin classes so I'd like to get a bike. I also want to do some hiking this summer. I have a 2 1/2 year old and a 6 year old so it would have to be something I can drag them along on. But I'm sure I could find some place to take them hiking! I just want to be more active!!! How about you? Any plans for the new year? Deanna

Wow thats great.. I remember when I hit that milestone.. it felt so awesome I wanted to shout to the world... wait I think i did. congrats at just being overweight.. its a great accomplishment. Well I think I told everyone about my ride the other day so I plan to do more of that. By the end of summer I would like to be able to ride to and from the beach. It's 40 miles each way. I think I will be able to do that easily... it's the kids I worry about but they are pretty sporty so they should be able to do it. lol.... I want to ride in a marathon. I am not really into running so I dont think I will take that route. My big goal is getting my ps done. I am so pumped up about that right now. My pcp is gonna submit when I hit 150 pounds (Im 153 now). I know I will get the ps but being only 8 months out makes it a little scary. With this excess tire and thigh skin off me I will be a lot happier.. My psoriasis is driving me crazy. I think we will be looking at doing my upper area after I get the lower areas done. I went and did it.. I went into curves today and spoke to the owner. Been paying for this place for a year and have never gone.. thats sad. So I spoke with her and she is meeting me on Monday to measure me and get me started on the exercises. I would like to tone up at least a little bit on my own before ps. I have had some many wonderful things happen this past year I'm not sure what other things I could wish for. I want to do so many things that I havent been able to do for so long. This past weekend I drove a go cart with my kids.. I would have never of tried that 8 months ago. I wouldnt have been able to get in the thing or out of it for that matter...lol.. Just getting me started gets my mind to racing about all the things I wanna try again.. Knee boarding water rafting play softball again dancing ride quadrunners fishing out on the ocean disneyland seaworld see what u did.. now i need to make a list of everything I want to do this year... sky diving .. stop me please.. im affraid of heights.

Honestly, today has been so busy I just haven't had a chance to read or post. Our "network" was down all day yesterday. The comp in my classroom wasn't logging onto the system today. Then we had a 2 1/2 our meeting. Then lunch....phew its been busy today.

Hey guys I've so been missing the activity on the board. The sooner we all get back on here the better I am phycing (SP?) myself up to go to an exercise class this year I want to do it and know I need to, my body is craving exercise but I need to get the guts to walk in the first time. You all have done it so I can too. I haven't set any resolutions, but want to generally be more positive this year. When the dark mornings have become lighter again I will (being positive) start trying to run in the mornings before work. I too work in a school and the rest of the staff were back in today- I had some comments and shocked someone by tellign them how much I'd lost. She hadn't noticed before Christmas but says I've lost a lot since she last saw me. I haven't actually lost any pounds but I think my body has been readjusting itself - apparetnly I've got a chin now hee hee. One of my sisiters comments was that there is a lot more space around my neck and shoulders

Hi Ruthie! My son needs to know the weather in London, can you hook us up so i don't have to give him the internet? For the next (30) days he's got to chart the weather in London, he chose London because we've always wanted to go there. Hugs, ANDI
