Which do you find easier, exercise or eating right?

OKay, since Ive been stuggling with eating the correct things lately and letting head hunger take control I was wondering, who else struggles with that? Do you find it easy to eat right? Sweets and snacks dont tempt you? Is it easy to get to the gym, and do that work out, 4 or 5X a week? Which area do you excel at? Kathryn

I'm really struggling at the moment - with food choices and exercise!! I don't seem to dump on the food I don't want myself to choose - cookies candy etc, yet I dump on other food that woudl be good choices!!!! Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhh what's up with that? I'm hoping that after Christmas I'll get back in to routine and get sorted out again. I got on my rowing machine today and cannot understand how people find it interesting - I get so bored doing it even watching TV at the same time!! I can't really say I'm excelling at the moment but i'll get back into the programme in the New Year - it is Christmas after all

Ruth, you and me - its like we were separated at birth Im with you - hoping to get back on track after the holidays - they are hard!! I did something helpful tonight though - all of the sweets people have brought for my hubby and me - I gathered them together, put them in a decorative basket with a couple of holiday mugs ( also a gift) and sent them to the neighbor. She really appreciated them and they are outta my house!!! I dont think re-gifting is tacky - esp. when its nice for someone else but evil for us!!! Take care!!!

sweet pea if someone tells you they don't struggle with their demons (food wise) at this time i think they are lying to you and to themselves. I am pretty good about not eating sweets but for some reason i'm sorely tempted by a christmas cake a neighbor brought over, iv'e been eating his coconut body all day long, i'll be sick eventlually but really i'm not even hungry so why am i even tempted? If i thougth my kids wouldn't notice i'd throw it right out! It's tempting me because i'm alone tonight. Iv'e got laryngitis and couldn't go to Hannukah at my sister in laws. My mother in law is taking radiation and her immune system is a bit out of whack because of it and i'm afraid to contaminate her! So i'm doing laundry and feeling sorry for myself. ANDI

eating right is much easier for me. exercising is just not something that I aspire to. today I walked 4.5 miles, but ate about 5 times.

Oh boy, I definately have issues with eating bad things! Like some others said, I don't dump on the things that I wish I'd dump on! However, I do notice that I don't feel "good" after eating them either. So why do I keep eating them? UGH! I do feel like I do good with my exercising. I go to the gym 4-5 times per week and I work out really hard. So I'm really proud of that! It does make me feel good and I really feel like I'm accomplishing something. Now, if I could just step away from sweets! Deanna

Easy answer for me. THe eating is much easier. I don't know how I obtained will power after lap-band, but I did and have lost rather quickly. Excercise on the other hand has been sporatic at best. I did join a gym today and plan to start tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Hey ladies! Well right now... I have a food challenge. The sweets don't make me dump either so I am really tempted w/ the holidays. I also have a thing w/ popcorn. It just calls my name. I guess it wouldn't be bad if I would just have it plain but I add butter and more salt. UGH. Why do I do that!!! Exercise.. I have been doing pretty good at, I go 3 days a week. I would like to increase it after the New Year. Another thing I need to improve on is taking my vitamins. Kristen
