I'll start us off... I have finished my christmas shopping ..yeah.. My mother in law is coming christmas eve and staying the night for christmas and my sister in law..grr.. is coming over on christmas day. Im going to my parents on christmas eve day for christmas with all my side of the family.. I live in the christmas light district so christmas eve night we hang out by the fire pit and listen to carolers and bands play as about 7 thousand plus people each night walk by and we get to wish them all merry christmas.. we start doing that on friday night.. loads of fun and lots of hot chocolate (except for me). Christmas is a big thing around my house as you can guess. We actually have trolleys, carrages, golf carts, cars and people all cruising the streets from the first week of decemeber til christmas eve night.. we take it all down after that.. all 5000 lights and animations.. grrr.. lot of work but the kids love it. So your turn..

Hi Sugar! I'm actually having a bit of a tough time of this holiday. I know I have worked way too hard at losing weight to start letting snacks and crap food back in but there is junk in every single office and home i go to. My body is saying no thank you but my head is saying have a bit of something for cripes sake PLUS i'm so pms'ing that i could rip the head off anyone within a 5 foot radius of me. What are your plans for the holiday how will you handle the little voice that says just have a little bit? Hugs, ANDI

I've been sneaking a little bit of carbs here lately. I wouldnt touch them before but I find myself wanting pretzels and chips. I never eat more than 5 of them just to satisfy my craving but i do worry that im gonna loose control.. sweets dont bother me cause they make me sick.. I did go to five stores to fine sf hot coco so i could have some when we sit out.. i dont want to make that a habit either. I did great at thanksgiving and I am telling myself I can do it again.. thank goodness for my inability to eat the sweet stuff.

I'm going to get my family giftcards, since I travel from so far away (my family lives in Pennsylvania, and I live in San Francisco). Work has been crazy too - we have a grant deadline Jan 4, so I have to get everything done before I leave town Saturday....plus PMS...Argh!!!! I STARTED on my Christmas Cards last night.... Heather

Hi Carla! I'm all done Christmas shopping! Woo hoo! I'm an early bird ... I like to get it all done with early so I don't have to stress out over finding a gift in the crowds. Crowds make me nervous! Today I took the kids to the mall to visit Santa. Then we stopped at Macy's and I found sweaters on a clearance rack for cheap! They were originally $48 and they were on clearance for $8. So I got a couple ... in a size MEDIUM! The large was too big and the medium is just a tad snug but probably not any more snug than most people wear them. I'm just so used to wearing my clothes so baggy when I was heavier. Anyway, that was fun this morning! Tomorrow I'm letting the kids bake cookies (just the kind you pull out of the package and place on the cookie sheet ... I'm not up to "real" baking anymore!!!). Then we'll deliver them to Daddy at work. As far as Christmas ... my side of the family has always celebrated on Christmas Eve. So we'll go down to my sister's house and go to church then come back to her house for our gift exchange. Then on Christmas morning we'll just be at home to let the kids open all their gifts. I can't wait! I just love this time of year!!! Deanna

yeah.. i try and get done early as well. with 4 kids i need to get it done.. I did the same thing.. i was at kohls and I dont know why i have this obsession with those pants that have the holes in them, but I have wanted a pair of those forever... of course they are only in jr miss and now that I can fit in them.. i cant find them.. well hidden deep in a rack I found one pair.. size 9.. so I think oh no.. i wear an 11 but i will get them anyway.. they can be my new goal pants. so I got them.. took them and tried them on to see how long it would take to get in them..... THEY FIT ME.. omg.. I couldnt belive it.. now cant breath real easily but they are buttoned and on.. I cant wait til i wear them..I try to buy snug because they get so loose so quickly... cookies.. yeah. i bought the kind in the tube.. the kids can make all they want..lol.. I am not working that hard to bake them from scratch so we're on the same page there..lol Sounds like you got a good system in place for the holidays.. I hear many trying to figure out how to squeeze everyone in on the visiting list.. we did that for a while but i always felt bad that the kids got all these great toys and didnt have time to play with them until the next day.. I put my foot down abuout 2 years ago and said.. no we are staying home for christmas.. so the family works around that new ruling I have.. I love christmas too.. I actually bought my house because of the location.. when the lady said.. oh heres a house in chino.. but its in the christmas light district.. i said ok.. ill take it.. i knew the area.. the street and even what decorations they had in their yard at christmas.. We used to walk these streets every year with the kids so now we still walk it, but we can say we live here too. Merry christmas to you and all your family

Hi Carla I'm now off work so my schedule on OH is all up the creek!! Still plan on checking in everyday no matter how busy I get though Today I went out for the office christmas meal. Lovely. I really enjoyed the turkey, ate that first then had 1 roast potato and a few carrots. Ate far too much but there was still loads on my plate. I just love that feeling of being able to leave food on my plate - never could before. Then I skipped on dessert and enjoyed watching the others eating theirs and didn't feel like I was missing out at all!! We are spending Christmas here at home. I have done most of my shopping - I'm an early bird like Deanna. I hate crowds when I'm shopping and just get stressed and then don't enjoy it. I have a few more bits to get but nothing major re prezzies. Now the food shopping is another matter. I usually go way overboard and buy up the store getting way too much. My husband always tells me not to get too much but then I do. I used to love all the extra snacks and nibbles. Well this year I plan on going on Friday/Saturday and know I'm not going to buy too much. Just a few extra goodies for him and my daughter and friends that are coming in the week. I love Christmas and this year it's even better now that I'm not focussed on food and grabbing snacks constantly.
