Guess what I did last night!!!

I was inspired last night so I pushed myself to take a class I've never taken at the gym. It's called Group Power and it is hard! Everyone is in an open room and everyone gets their own barbell and some weights, an incline step, and a mat to lay on. The class lasts for 60 minutes and each song is a different focus on a set of muscles. We started out with squats and then moved up to arms, shoulders, etc. The last one was a major ab workout.
The best part was that I did it! I would have NEVER ventured into a room with mostly men in it and done this sort of thing. I was so proud of myself! This morning my body is aching but I love that feeling.
I am just so tickled that I went to this class and I kept up the routine! Woo hoo!

I just took this class yesterday at Lady Wellness - an area gym in central illinois! (I also just found this forum - duh where have I been!). It was a tough but very good class!
I had open rny 5/8. I'm down 82 pounds. Started at 240 and weighed this morning at 158. I have 38 more to go for my personal goal. I've been at a huge stall for the past two months.....and hadn't been exercising much. So, I finally got the will power to join the club last week and I worked out every day but once last week. And I've lost 3 lbs in just 1 week! Shoulda started exercising earlier....but I HATE it. Although, now that I'm somewhat lighter, it doesn't seem like such a chore like it used to.
I did the group power class yesterday afternoon and my legs and arms are screaming at me today....but it's still a good feeling! I wanted to do their group step this morning at 5:30 am (NOT a morning person), but didn't get to bed until after 1 am and just couldn't get up that early. Tomorrow morning's class is group power again. I'm hoping that keeping up this exercise will jumpstart the loss again, because it's frustrating to be at the same weight for two months. I'm also worried about running out of time to get these last 40 lbs off before my one year anniversary.
So, my goal this week is: Group Power Tues morn, treadmill wed night (because I'm not real excited about the group kick which is kickboxing), group power on Thurs morn and Group Step on Fri morning. I've GOT to stick with this...I feel I'm so close to goal that it's at least abit easier to force myself to do stuff I may not necessarily like!
