Day 5 - How's The Attempt At Change Coming?

I only got about 30 oz in today but for the week it was much better than it has been the past couple of months. So I'm gonna stick with the fluid challenge for next week also and I WILL hit 64 oz!

I'm going to stick with the fluid challenge but i'm also going to add in some sort of exercise beause really, i'm not doing a gosh darn thing lately. Yup I've done good on my fluids this week. I guess I should have posted this on Deanna's what have you done to be proud of as I didn't post - couldn't think of anything! I think I can claim this and should be proud of myself. I don't give myself enough credit where credit is due. Why is that, when I give praise and credit to everyone else and so critical of me?? That is going to change along with my new thinking about food and my new body. Hmm, not sure what I am going to work on this week. I need to focus on exercise, but as I've got a frantic week ahead, if I'm honest I know I won't, so I will work on snacking this week. Christmas candy

I'm so proud of you for getting in all your liquids! The whole idea of this is to make small, measurable changes for the week, i'm impressed that you realize your week is going to be heck in a handbasket and you've chosen to do something you can control. If you simply MUST have some candy figure it in for a treat next Saturday night, make it special though don't have that cheap crappy Christmas Candy have a decadent piece of the finest stuff you want. I HAVE BEEN DOING TERRIBLE!!!!! Like today for instance - I have had 1 cup of coffee, 8 oz, 1 bottle water 16 oz and 1 Diet Coke 12 oz. This only makes 36 ounces!!!!! thanks for reminding us HOW important it is - to get our fluids in. I used to do SOO good but lately I have not been good!! It is time to get back!! Darlene

Good Morning Dar! You are done beating yourself up about your liquids and we are moving forward into a new week that is just fraught with opportunity. Be careful with the diet soda, cola products contain phosphates which rob our bones and teeth of calcium. For a "normal" person the 12oz is not a big deal because they absorb normally, however since we don't it magnifies the bone/tooth loss for us. That being said it's a new week! You have been good, your fluid intake has gone a bit awry but Darlene is a good girl! My mom was a therapist, she's since retired and is living the good life, but she says the action is bad the person is not, i've been so cognizant of that. I used to say to her that my middle guy was a bad boy, she'd go Andi the boy is not bad his actions are, remember that before you do some mental damage! Hehehe the things you remember! How are you going to make positive changes for this week? I am anxious to hear how you'll be changing something to make a more positive Darlene! Happy Hollandaise and Peas on Earth. ANDI
