Regular Clothes sooooo excited

Had my 6 month appt yesterday so we (my mom and I) went to old navy after the appt. The scared me took the only pair of black slacks in a 20 i could find and about 6 pairs of 18s!!!!! THEY FIT! I was so shocked. I have never been able to go into a normal store much less try on 6 different pairs of black pants to decide which ones looked the best. I've always had to settle for whatever they had that would button and zip. Talk about a wow moment. This was my first time EVER! shopping in a non plus size store!!!! Today I'm wearing those black 18 old navy pants and an XL walmart Faded Glory black v-neck with some embellishment. I'm just so thrilled. The appt went great I'm down a total of 102 and 98 of that since surgery. My surgeon gave me a big hug and told me I was doing great. Thansk for letting me brag!

Mandy! That is awesome!! I just got into the 20 and XXL stuff at Old Navy and I so know how exciting it is. Shopping somewhere other then Lane Bryant or the haneous plus size section of department stores with one rack of Granny clothes!! I have gone to Old Navy a dozen times since I found out they fit. Usually I just try on half the store and don't buy anything - lol - it's my source of entertainment!

OH Mandy its way to exciting!!!!!!!! I have never even been into old navy because I did not want to get embarrassed when things did not fit..... I will have to go now!!! Also today I heard of jeans called tummy tuck and they help hold it in and you can ware a size smaller than normal.... They are at Macys and a few other stores... I will have to get a pair when my mom and I go shopping next weekend..

the catalog Newport News has "suck 'em in" jeans that i think i'm going to try. I have the birthing kangaroo pouch and no matter how many sit ups and crunches i'm doing the pouch ain't leaving (dang those 3 beautiful, healthy kids). Hugs, ANDI

Hi Andi I have 2 kids and the same pouch...LOL If you get the heans tell me how they fit? The tummy tuck jeans are expensive,(about 100.00) but my birthday is soon and my mom and I are going shopping... so I might get a pair..(depending on how they fit) Jean

They are on sale now at around $44 which is more then i like to pay for clothes at this point in my size "morphing"! I will however be trying them seeing as how i can't stand the pouch. Today i'm going to try a pair of spanx power panties and see how those go for me. I'll fill you in on the pouch update once i buy the power panties! Hugs, ANDI

Hey Mandy... I know you are thrilled... I remember the first time I tried something on at a regular store and it fit... I about pased out. lol I am soooooo excited for you, it is such a great feeling knowing that you are making great progress toward achieving a huge personal goal. My little sister came over last weekend... for the first time ever in my life... we shared clothes. She brought me 2 pairs of size 10 jeans and they fit! She borrowed a shirt from me and it fit her, and I wore her sweater, it was sooooo much fun. Don't get too comfortable in those 18's girl.... they're gonna be falling off b4 you know it!

Congrats on an awesome job honey!! Be careful, you'll rack debt quickly now that you can shop anywhere. Each size I drop I go nuts. I started in a 22 and I'm in an 8 - that's a lot of sizes. LOL
