I bought a dress today!

Hi everyone! I bought myself a dress today! I was mulling around the clothing section of Walmart today and found this really cute wrap dress for only $20 so I bought it! My husband has a Christmas party for work coming up so I can really use it. The best part is that it's a size Large 12/14!!!!! I think it looks pretty darn good on me except I can really notice my extra tummy skin ... anyone have any good suggestions on tummy control garments? Anyone try those Spanx ones? I'm so excited! Now I need some cute earrings to go with it! Shopping is FUN! Deanna

I think that any of the ones that are more like bike shorts that come up extra high onto the ribcage are the best the smooth everthing from back rolls to thigh and I just get the ones from walmart just make sure there more of a silky material that way you dress will just glide over you when you move instead of stick like the nylon matieral ones do hope this helps

Oh my gosh, I didn't even think of them needing to be in a silky fabric! That would be just my luck to have my dress hang up on them and ride up on me! Thank you for the advice! I'm going to check out the ones at Walmart! Deanna

Congrats on the dress!! I have a Spanx Higher Power. I LOVE it! I brag on it all the time. It holds everything in but I can still breathe with ease. It really smoothes out the extra skin for me (esp the little roll above my waist). Mandy

Ooooooh, I bet that Spanx High Power would help me! I need some major damage control! I have that little roll above my waist too but it isn't near as bad as the lower "spare tire" thing I have going on. Ugh! Do you buy your Spanx at a store or do you order them online? Deanna

I bought it at lane bryant a couple of months ago. If you go to their website you can order it there or they also give a list of retailers I believe.

i have one of those from spanx. i had to buy it after i heard oprah rave about it, lol. and its true it works very well, compaired to others i have tried to keep my gut in! lol. i have the one that goes down to your knees which i like cause it doesnt just stop short. i think i bought it from there website, i never noticed them in stores, maybe just because i wasn't looking.

Spanx higher power are the way to go. Go to lanebryant.com and find out your size and then search for it on ebay. They cost 34 bucks in the store but I get them new in the package a lot less on ebay

you are so cute and funny, and to tell you the truth i bought a wrap dress in a size 12/14 from jc penney during the black friday rush. I am wearing it tomorrow if i can find my "power panties" cause the gut roll is killing me! Hugs, ANDI
