Anyone else having issues???
i think this is a really good topic. when i read the wls grad board it seems like they discuss maintaining alot and when their bodies get to where they naturally are supposed to be they level off.
i think that if you are eating healthy and following the program and you stay where you are then, well that's where you are meant to be, if you lose 20 more pounds are are still in the "ideal" range and you are a size 0, well, then that's where your meant to be. i think health is the biggest issue.
my ideal weight category is anywhere from 105 to 136. that's a big range. my doc has set a goal for me at 135, my personal goal is 129 (i just want to be in the 120's!!)
i'm 24 lbs from docs goal and 30 from mine. i keep thinking, i wonder where i'll end up. i'm in size 10's now (even a few 8's!!!) and there is nothing wrong with being a size 10. but, i'm still in the overweight category and i want to be in the ideal category.
i guess, i'm trying to say, that if you are healthy darlene and are a size 4 then that's great. but if you naturally lose more, without depriving your body of what it needs, then you are meant to be even smaller.
you look great and i'm glad you are doing so well.
take care,
deb
Happy Thanksgiving
I don't have that problem yet, but you are so pretty.... I think its normal to get bellow your ideal weight at first and then as you work out and get more used to your new body that you put on a few lbs with muscle. But if you feel good I think that speaks for itself... You are beautiful and people are going to be negative to make themselves fee better.

I do here that alot especially after the holidays when alot of family that hasent seen me since surgery saw me for the first time when I said I wanted to lose another 20 lbs to be at 130 everyone kept asking me if I wanted to look like nicole riche ha ha I said try another 80 lbs then now everyone keeps telling me that I look great and shouldn't lose anymore which if I didn't I would be happy but I also would like to lose a little bit more to have a cushion just in case I gain alittle back ya know. I try to tell everyone that there just used to seeing me so big that I just look tiner than what I acutally am. I do find that my goal weight keeps droping the more weight that I lose . First it was 170 because that seemed so unatainable then it was 150 and know its 130-135 so I don't know in a year well see were I'm at. My weight loss has really slowed down now about 1lbs a week so who knows
