6 month checkup ...
Hi everyone!
I went for my 6 month checkup with my Surgeon and Nut yesterday! They were really happy with my progress ... down 114 pounds! They ran a body composition analysis on me and my body fat percentage is down to 28% ... I started out at 46%. Right now I weigh 193 and if I got down to the 21% body fat percentage that is healthy, I would weigh 175.
So, they have my goal at 175. At first I was a bit disappointed that my goal weight was so high. But, I know that going too low would compromise my body fat percentage and then it would be hard to maintain that weight and it could be unhealthy for me. They did say that I'm leaning towards the "athletic" side (ha, ha, me--athletic?!) so I could probably get down to 170.
Overall I'm happy ... I'm only 18 pounds from the goal they gave me! To me that is just unbelievable! Right now I'm wearing a size 14 and I'm hoping that dropping another 18-25 pounds would put me in a size 10. I just want to be able to shop in a "normal" store and know there would be a size to fit me there!
Thanks for listening!
Deanna
Woohoo.....
Great news Deanna the athlete (hee hee). Bet you never imagined you'd be called that. I'm almost jealous!
18 lbs from goal is unbelievable. You've worked hard and you've seen the results. Well done.
I know it sounds strange but each time someone on the board has good news/reaches a goal type thing I feel so proud of them. I'm proud of you Deanna. You have set a great example and have been an inspiration to me.
Perhaps I should rename myself proud momma & you rename yourself Deanna the athlete!!
That is AWESOME!!! I still haven't had my 6 month - I called to schedule and they were in the middle of changes offices. I need to follow up on that!!
Being called "athletic" is a fantasy of mine. I have never been much of an athlete - even though I think I really could be. I think I am relatively coordinated - just always hiding behind all my fluff. I would really really love to run a marathon someday.....and just think - it's actually possible. If I had utter those words a year agoit would have been quite alaugh - but not it actually seems attainable!!
