*Snip*Snip* Today's the Day
Well, today is the day I get my hair cut. My uncle will be doing the style. I'm at 96 pounds so I'm still 4 away from the 100 mark, but with my schedule and his schedule I figured I'm close enough. My hair is now past my shoulders and curly (natural curls). So many people are telling me "No,Don't Cut you HAIR!!!" but I've ALWAYS had my hair the same way.
My uncle has always said you want to go short, lose 50 - 60 pounds and we'll do it. Sooooo today is the day. This is such unknown territory for me. My hair has always been the ONE thing I loved about myself. BUT with the hairloss and all the changes its time. I've shown him a few pictures of kind of what I'm looking for but the end product is up to him, along with the color (always been a dark blonde w/ natural hi-lites and sometimes I've gone WILD and added hi lites lol).
I was soooooo excited about this but now I'm getting nervous.
Thanks for letting me ramble.

Yeah, sometimes I can hardly see a difference, then other times I hardly recognize myself. Last night, I went through clothes my sister had left at my mom's during a transition period. I was trying on a slinky pants suit that was sleeveless with a mock turtle neck on it. My hair was pulled back in a clip. I guess the high neck and my hair pulled back really made a difference.
I've held on to my hair because I thought it was the one good thing about me but now I'm liking more and more about myself.
Go, Mandy, Go! I can't wait to see what your new hairdo looks like! You have a beautiful face and that won't change no matter what you do to your hair. Although I think a shorter style would really show off that pretty face of yours! No need to hide it!
I think it's great we're all doing things to break outside our comfort zones ... it really helps to build up our self esteems!
Can't wait to see your pictures!
