Embarrassing .... anyone constipated?
I eat 1/2 a cup at a time. I looked through all the bran cereals and I think the bran buds pack the most fiber per 1/2 cup. I also sometimes eat the original all-bran and sometimes I like Fiber One - just for variety.
I actually think they are pretty good - but make sure you put a couple tablespoons of splenda on them!!!! Otherwise they are kinda like cardboard. With the splenda it's like a little sweet and nice and crunchy. Maybe I'm just used to it because most people cringe when they try them! LOL.
I also usually cut up 1/2 a banana in them and that helps make them a little tastier. It ends up being tons of carbs - but I have to justify it in order to get the fiber in - and they don't make me sick AT ALL!!
I tried doing the stirrable fiber - it's a good option but kind of expensive IMHO and I think it is like 30 cals per Tablespoon - and that's only like 3 grams of fiber. So I gave up on that.

Oh - also look for any sort of "flax" cereal - usually good for fiber too. Just check the labels!!! Thomas light english muffins have like 4 grams of fiber per half (and only 50 cals) - that's another good source.
