I haven't thrown up since I got better from all my post-surgery complications back in July. But I still feel like I might, if I eat something too fast, or something with too much sugar or fat. I stay miserable for a while, then it just passes. Nothing ever "gets returned" ... knock on wood. And last night, I ate while I was stressing out over an argument with my hubby ... and the food stuck in my pouch .... OWWWWW. Not good. So sorry you've had a couple of sick days, Kathryn. As you said, we are ALL still learning. Every day! Dawn

Ha! I read this post this morning and thought that I haven't thrown up since very early after WLS. BUT...what happened after lunch? I felt so ill, really wanted to throw up but couldn't had to walk out of a shop felt so ill - managed to get home somehow and foamies. Was in bed feeling horrid for several hours! Haven't had foamies in months and certainly didn't feel ill with them. So that wiped the smug look off my face. The pouch rules , and I shouldn't forget it Ruth

I do not get sick much anymore BUT - last week - I did 2 times - Both on Healthy Choice Dinners. One was Chinese and the other was some kind of chicken & rice. Then today I had just a small dish of beef and noodles and a little bit of milk - Well up it all came!! I never have had pains but just - WOW! Hit the bathroom fast cause it is coming up!! BUT - sugar does not make me sick!!!! WHY??

I still get sick at least 4 days a week. I know some of my triggers are chicken, steak, pork, bread, etc. I am very limited actually on what I can eat. I don't know if I am fat sensitive or if I am just a puker. I can pretty much puke on command if needed. I have even gotten sick on milk. I generally know within 5 minutes if what I just ate is going to sit well. All the puking is probably not the best...but there is nothing I can do about it at this point. Hopefully it will go away with time. I am on an acid reducer and it seems to help a little. But I have puked since day 1 after surgery.
