Hi - - I haven't posted to these threads before, but I'm going to start because I'm curious about how I compare to others who had their surgeries at about the same time I did...... B - - Carb Control oatmeal (1/2 serving), 1/2 ring of pineapple S - - 1/2 apple with 1 Babybel cheese L - - 3 oz chicken breast, 4 brussel sprouts S - - 1 bag Revival soy chips and 1 Laughing Cow lite cheese triangle D - - Am going to Olive Garden with friends and plan to have soup and salad (dressing on the side) and maybe a little bite of breadstick S - - probably a protein drink (I like Nectar) I still "have the fear" and haven't tested the waters as far as sugar goes. I know from eating a few restaurant things that too much fat gives me the big D so it's easy to avoid that. I also still don't have any feelings of hunger so I'm finding it pretty easy to avoid anything "bad" - - I don't even really feel tempted. I'm sure it would be harder if I felt hungry. Karen

jump right in! 3 oz chix, IMPRESSIVE. I can usually get down 1 oz but apples, yeah, I can suck nearly a whole one down. oatmeal tends to make me starving 2 hours later. I have barely been able to choke protein down, have been sneaking in 2 oz in my smoothie the other night, that was good.

I have heard so much about the carb control oatmeal, I went and got a box, will try it tomorrow. that is part of what I like about this type of tread, new ideas.

Yesterday was the first time I had tried it - - I liked it but I'm wondering if maybe it (and perhaps the apple) combined to make me have a quick trip to the bathroom this morning....... not the Big D but close...... As far as feeling hungry, THANK GOD I'm not yet feeling hunger. I still eat because I have to. I am so thankful for not being hungry I would have this surgery over and over again just to keep the hunger away.

i had two tootsie pop lollipops yesterday and I don't feel guilty, the old me would not have stopped eating treats till i was eyebrow deep in that plastic pumpkin. We had a fashion show at work last night, it was grueling and i was really stressed out. I had some chicken breast for dinner and it got stuck. I knew it wasn't going down and it wanted to come up. I excused myself and must have looked horrid because i go to the bathroom, the chicken breast makes a fast exit and i get out of the stall which is like a closet and my whole table of co-workers is standing there staring at me. My boss goes you didn't look right so we all came to check on you...uhhh i just threw up can i have a moment to wash out my mouth and compose msyelf please? Gosh that was bizarre and i knew that chicken was not going to go down, why did i need to try it anyway? Hugs, ANDI
